6 Trades today. Will post my reasons for entry later.

Trade 1:
we had retraced 50% of the larger swing followed by a realignment in the IOF with the longer term expectation. After my entry bears seemed to lack conviction so I exited around breakeven. It was the right move in hindsight.

Trade 2:
just a simple by-the-book continuation trade. Problem was that I entered late on the move (4th swing) and immediately after a weak new structure low. This one just simply didn’t make sense. Not sure what I was thinking.

Trade 3:
This is a correction trade and somehow happened to be my largest winning trade of the day. I took it because we registered a low of day on the $TIKSP, at the same time the market made its low of day which is consistently an indication of higher prices at least temporarily. I saw a tiny bullish impulse leg and entered long off of it. Took off 1/3 at IOF NSH and moved my stop up. Trailed 1/3 on each candle and then when we shot up again decided to trail the last 1/3 on each candle as well. Right move in hindsight.

Trade 4:
This wasn't a great entry because it was again too late in the downward move but I figured that if we broke the previous lows we were due to go lower. I was anticipating a sharper drop and when we got sluggish action from the bears instead I decided to cover both halves of my position. It was the right move in hindsight.

Trade 5:
After trade 4 fizzled out after making a weak NSL, we saw sharp and strong bullish action. I was convinced that the bottom was in for the day and we would move higher for the remainder of the session. Entered long on the IOF before it realigned with the longer term and was taken out. Price you pay for being early, sometimes it pays to wait.

Trade 6:
Same reasoning as Trade 3. Result was slightly better than a scratch!

Felt VERY good about my exits today as well as most of my entries!

First few trades are kinda messy and hard to understand.

The last trade was pretty smooth. I was trading the IOF and nearly got stopped out which is why I trailed my first 2/3 so aggressively.

Felt REALLY good about my trades today. Exercised good patience and waited for A+ setups.

First trade: Price came up to my area of interest and reacted breaking IOF structure. Took the next setup and trailed aggressively because we were bullish on the day.

Second trade: Same setup as the first except we didn't get the same followthrough. Tightened my stop and was taken out with a tiny loss/BE.

Third trade: End of my session but perfect setup. Price reached my final target area for the bulls today. I felt that the move was becoming overextended. I saw large volume come in on the short side. I took the short setup and trailed super aggressively because I wanted to finish my session and go enjoy the weather outside today.

My first trade went well. On my second trade I had to call for a rescue mission and ended up on BE.
Although I still think we might head to new highs we might break the short term OF I was following.

Do you have some of your other strategies automated? How can you trade so many things at once?

{quote} Do you have some of your other strategies automated? How can you trade so many things at once?
So I trade 4 futures strategies,
1. Mr. Pip Swings
2. HR = Home Run
3. Scalp = Continuation of runners (bull flags/bear flags,etc...)
4. SR = Sup/Resistance or Supply/Demand

I trade #1, #2, and #3 exclusively on the YM so it's not too big a deal to keep up with it.
i have an automated notification that notifies me of opportunities for #2, I probably get two notifications a day but only take 3 or 4 trades per month.

I trade SR on other instruments, I draw my lines once/twice a day, and have a single window with all the instruments and those lines on it, I completely ignore the instrument until it approaches a line and then make a decision to trade it.

On the FX side I'm on the 30M or H4 so checking it once a day is typically fine.

YM 1 trade. Loss -23 points.

Was waiting patiently for Gartley pattern completion.
Bears struggled moving down to the PRZ.
Then the bulls made a move, broke immediate OF and I thought they were leaving without me. (yeah...)
So entered long on the immediate correction.
After entry price went further down and touched my PRZ.
The early entry put me in a bad position for trading the pattern.
I was not able to BE at 38.2%.
I had only moved my stop just below the low of the pattern.
When price moved down strongly I could only watch my stop being taken.
Had I been more patient, I would have had a better entry and it would have been a BE trade.

YM went north from 9.30 EST for about 300 points.. I don't see anyone saying that he/she picked 100-200 points today. Small entries are helping with micro futures and I got some..
