AUDNZD

1 Attachment(s)
Again a new thread indeed, but this one will exclusively be for audnzd trades.
I've seen many aud thread, but most of them were aud against USD or cad and none of them talked about nzd.
Other trades are some so called martingale system,s which are definitely not ....sorry guys.

I've started trading this sweet pairs when i saw a guy turning 1000usd into 10000usd in a month only by scalping it...

So i'm starting this thread so people can post either swing trades or scalping trades.
I'm doing both on it, but the most efficient is definitely the scalping way.

On a daily basis, prices bounces off 1,2670-80 support twice.
On hourly basis, prices are still in a upside momentum, still above 1,2650 zone.
I'm targeting the upside towards 1,2950 & 1,3130.
Meanwhile i'll keep scalping.

i am actually studying this pair. i am see it with growing interest. i think it is, cause of my view, very easy to trade.

I'm in this thread with you.

Good Luck.

i will post a monthly chart (i make my analysis with it) with my view and analysis using Monthly and Weekly fibos, TL (CtC), Stos and MaCD. This is ideal to scalp using possibles reversal points for little timeframe charts

Aud continues strong against NZ. With NZ earthquake in play I expect price to cont LONG this week.

kuroro001 Sep 5, 2010 9:10pm | Post# 4

Today's PA is downside oriented...
And it seems to be more nzd strength than aud weakness
Anyway aud news is in 20mn, i'll short the spike up if there is any, ideally towards 1,2740

If price deeps below 1,2600 in the coming day i'll start buying for 1,2940 tp and a stop below 1,2500...it sounds a good risk/reward

kuroro001 Sep 6, 2010 12:26am | Post# 5

Short scalp at 1,2693 , and i'll start buying near 1,2675 and below

Short scalp at 1,2693 , and i'll start buying near 1,2675 and below
what a long scalp pfff, it was in slow motion, but i'm done below 1,2680
Now i"m buying at the level, and probably another one around 1,2650.

And i'll continue scalping it

kuroro001 Sep 6, 2010 11:04pm | Post# 7

News in 2h30...it might be fun to scalp spikes
I still have a scalp with a 1,2700 tp, i'll wait the news hoping a down spike to buy more
A spike down to 1,2650 maybe

kuroro001 Sep 7, 2010 1:19am | Post# 8

Price went deeper than i had expected...good , the lower the better

kuroro001 Sep 7, 2010 2:39am | Post# 9

I'll try a short scalp above 1,2650 (55 about), for a move down to 1,2620-30....the up again
Will see if it works

kuroro001 Sep 7, 2010 2:50am | Post# 10

Will see if it works
Short 1,2653 for a move below 1,2630....then up until 1,2680-1,2700

kuroro001 Sep 7, 2010 5:41am | Post# 11

Long 1,2630 for 1,2670....AUD is lagging compared to NZD, it needs to catch it up
Might add one more below 1,2620.
I'm hesitating to keep these longs for a longer run towards 1,3000

kuroro001 Sep 7, 2010 6:16am | Post# 12

1,2620-1,2630 area is forming a support once again...ready for a pump up?!

Long 1,2625 if it hit that zone once again in the next few minutes

kuroro001 Sep 7, 2010 10:50am | Post# 13

Done @ 1,2670...i'm letting another one ride towards 1,2700
I'm done for the day with this sweet pair

kuroro001 Sep 7, 2010 11:05pm | Post# 14

1,2700 is cleared, but right now there is no steam to go up.
Short scalp tight stop...waiting for 1,2680....then i'll add longs here...for 1,2750+

kuroro001 Sep 8, 2010 9:41pm | Post# 15

Good employment
Next tp is 1,2800....then 1,2950

kuroro001 Sep 8, 2010 10:29pm | Post# 16

Took partial profit at 1,2785...waiting to load longs at 1,2750-60 for 1,2800 then short rallies from here until i-don't-know-where-yet

kuroro001 Sep 10, 2010 4:16am | Post# 17

Price is on the 4h mid bollinger band, & 1,2700 support...going long there for 1,2750 & 1,2800

aud is way better than nzd but still nzd going up way much than any other currency...it gotta drop real bad!

Anybody else interested in this pair ?

Ok, I have just found my entry into a short trade at 1,3141!

There should occure some sort of resistance at 1,3214 at the latest! So I set my SL at 1,3215!

gleem Oct 1, 2010 4:52pm | Post# 19

That would of been a pretty scary short, looks like its starting to pay off. This is one of my favorite pairs as well.. What spread are you guys paying for this pair?

Price is due for an valid pull back. Bulls are currently over extended.

Yesterdays End of Day price sat between a strong level and weak level.

In addition to a reversal bar (spinning top).

Evidence was pretty clear of a reversal. Today I enjoyed the fruit of the reversal with 70 tick profit.

Don't get scared, but I have to pay a spread of 16 pips!

What about you?

AUDNZD Fans come together

I am glad to see more and more threads dedicated for discussing AUDNZD.

I hope there could be a way to group as many AUDNZD fans (traders) as possible into one ongoing thread where we could share thoughts, analysis, and trading techniques.

It is an interesting pair indeed, specially for scalping, but could cause you huge losses sometimes.

The major obstacle in trading this pair is the spread, as most brokers have ranging spread from 8-20 for this pair.

Anyway, if you are able to master scalping this pair, you could easily double your balance every week.

Good luck to all.

FXEntry Oct 19, 2010 4:55pm | Post# 23

So far it is the only pair I have ever traded so far. Love it and expect to start trading it more and more as time goes on.

I see this thread is small, hopefully it will gain more traction as I would watch closely, and start participating more with thoughts about this pair as my trading experience goes up.

Wedge seems to be forming. Can be seen on the 1 hour chart. 1.2950 seems to be the resitance point.

Retail sales figures and trade balance figures coming out in about 2 hours from now. May push it beyond wedge top if positive AUD. However if that does not occur then there is big news next week - AUD interest rate anoucement. Interest rates predicted by market to stay put at 4.75%. If they increase this to 5% then we will definitly break the 1.2950 level on the AUDNZD.

check out the weekly, i can't see any fundamental resons that would push this above this long term resistance... short was a bit to impatient and went short at 1.3275.. Is anyone else here playing this pair?

Personally, I expect this move to continue upwards.
But, I'm also prepared to close some positions if I see that the price will start to correct to much.

I attached the chart with my long positions on the daily chart.

Metatrader of FXCM - they have data since 1989. Does anybody know where to find graphs from an even more distant past (since the beginning of '80 for example)?

I have made the chart myself - from aud/usd vs nzd/usd (of course, the result cannot be 100% precise, but clearly shows the trend). Until 1990 these are daily data, since 1990 - weekly (so, the scale there is condensed).
It seems that after some retracement we are heading towards 1.39-1.41 area somewhen in January.

Good morning

I am short at 1,34200.Current trendline is unsustainable sooner or later to be tested and current price is streched far above 200 dma. This usually brings down this pair.
