I really doubt you will see the gap completely fill this time. I think the gap has already retraced as much as it is going to. We might see a brief uptick, but it is time to sell EURUSD and EURJPY for a long term trade. Greece is leaving the Euro Zone. Germany isn't going to pay any more money to keep them in. So now the euro is no longer irrevocable. Portugal is next. Then Italy and Spain will start to feel the pressure from rising peripheral yields and their losses from bailing out Greece (3-4% of GDP for each country). They will be tested by the bond markets. Eurozone going back into recession. ECB is going to have to print a few hundred billion to make up for the losses by EFSF, ESM, losses by European banks, deflation, etc. etc. All bodes for a weaker Euro, esp against USD, the least dirty shirt.

I respectfully disagree. I would be buying these pairs not selling yet. Soon, but not now.

looks like they will find a solution, and all problems solved in a few hours. gdp versus debt, debt 180%. gdp year over year down 25%. tourism visitors down 50,000 per day, year over year. so the solution is to loan more. welcome to ozz.
w/o ecb biting the bullet with some 0 rates or 500 year bonds or even debt relief.. these buying time crap is just letting some blue bloods more time to let others. take their bad debt.

so the soap opera continues.
