I dont save the vol history (it takes a lot of space and my trades are not based on the volume) so I cant tell if it's above average. Sorry Rock.

{quote} If information like this was given out for free I'd be in shock. Please, shock me. Tell me how you know the entire volume of the spot FX market. You don't have to show me where to find the info, just tell me how you know it. I'm curious.
This could do it.

{quote} Why adding to losers?
Those are buy stops. Adding to winners as a market taker.

But as for this idea that adding to losers is bad... do you know that all big players add to losers? This is because they have to build into their position slowly, and other players are offloading into their orders.

For example... the bulls have been buying all the way down from say sub 1.0650 into 1.06... someone had to be taking the otherside of those sell orders that drove us down to 1.06 (the bulls, making the market for the sellers). Some positions they have at 1.0650 and probably even bigger ones near 1.06... they can't buy everything in one place and then just place a stop loss like small traders can. It's a difficult concept to explain

Then as for the even bigger players on the bullish side... they could be targeting 1.10+... but how do they know the big bearish players wont take it to sub 1.05 first? They likely have been buying anything under 1.07 and haven't sold ANY positions for the past two weeks.

They have INCREDIBLE patience.... to say the least.

Yes, they cannot buy or sell in one place, that is true ... do not know if it is good for retail traders though. I think in a market where I am just the fish I have to be more precise, does not go for big players of course.
