ema200 on m5

IF you like your MA's on the 5, try the 267EMA to w/c for a run.

I must have it wrong,
what time does NY open at?

Hi Cloggie,

What do you mean by this?

"Awaiting NY open with anticipation."

cloggie Mar 7, 2011 9:28am | Post# 401923

exactly.

My clock is my best friend for entries and exits. Got to see how my equities are getting on today, it has been interesting in futures this morning.

Thanks cloggie, I did have it wrong

No probs, and now you know why I closed my trades where I did, among a few other indications. And look at price now. I would have given back 10 pips or so unnecessary. I'd rather have those pips in my account.

Price moves in fairly straight forward cycles during the day, it is just a matter of identifying them and using them to your advantage. Do I get it wrong at times, of course I do, just cut them early and never be greedy on your winners. Price moves in chunks, find the chunks and trade the "fat" part of them.

No need to be greedy, if this is confirmed here in the next 10 mins there is plenty of opportunity to get back in. Never ever give back what the market gives you so easily. All I need is a few confirmed setups a day to get my fair share. I'd rather go in heavily on the obvious ones then let it get beyond the confirmed stage. I always aim for the "fat" part of a move and try not to get caught in the tails.
wise cash in and reload later the market will be here 5/24

Keep an eye on oil right now, it is fading the top and the dollar moves accordingly (negative correlation). It is testing the 3-yr high.

Yes,

Many thanks for the info Cloggie and for the 267EMA as well. I set up my trades on M15 and M5 when in intraday, so it's going to be very usefull.
