    A court in eastern China has handed down a suspended death sentence to a corrupt former chairman of a troubled regional lender, indicating Beijing’s determination to clamp down on banking risks. The Yantai Intermediate People’s Court in Shandong province handed down a death sentence with a two-year reprieve to Jiang Xiyun, chairman of Hengfeng Bank from 2008 to 2013, for embezzling 754 million yuan (US$107 million) in the bank’s shares, taking 60 million yuan in bribes, illegally guaranteeing 3.7 billion yuan in credit, and destroying accounts and records related to 660 million yuan, according to a court ruling ... I think its a good punishment, corruption is out of hand in western world, too. The banks and bankers responsible for the crisis over a decade ago got a bailout...so we, the public, gave them money for their mistakes. If they were given a death sentence, too, there would be much less corruption in the world and overall a better life quality.

You got it right, just a little correction, those were no mistakes, it the strategy they use to rip the public off, no wonder after the crisis you mentioned USA got more billionaires than ever.
Politicians and bankers are always the most corrupt ones everywhere in the world.

In China specifically, politicians, supported by the already-bought main stream media, will be heading the list.
