Tenreyro: Monetary policy and open questions in international macroeconomics
Thank you for the invitation to speak this evening. John Flemming was an extraordinary figure in academia and public policy and it is an honour to give a lecture in his memory. There is a lot going on at the moment, in economics and in politics. But in this lecture, I would like to take a longer-term view instead of looking at the events on the foreground, dramatic and important as they are, and consider some open questions in international macroeconomics.
