  • UK Cabinet Min Gove: No certainty that the EU will grant Brexit extension

drama + drama + drama + drama + drama = Brexit
The situation for me is clear:

- The EU and UK have a deal
- The EU and UK are fed up of Brexit and, I think for the first time, they agree with ending this subject as soon as possible.
- The EU gives a very short extension and says to UK: This is the last time we give you an extension
- The parliament have to approve the deal because, if they don't approve the deal, UK brexits without a deal, and this goes against what was approved by parliament

90% ... But the heart of the Brexit problem is that the "Deals " that May and now Boris have negotiated have very specific Red Lines. Those are based on the Mays and Boris interpretation of what the people ment when they voted Leave. Reality is that NOBODY knows what the People ment.

The EU is a legal/Rules based system.. How else would you create an economic and social alliance of such complexity? They wont change those rules. For anybody. Because they cant.
So when May went to Brussels with her Red Lines.. that on day one defined almost absolutely what EU could and couldn't offer. Any inflexibility weren't about being difficult to stop others leaving.. ( they didnt have to because.. after Brexit the popularity of the EU among the other 27 jumped +5/10%)
They know exactly where their lines are. Otherwise they couldn't possibly negotiate as a 27 nation bloc.
So any country leaving EU has to accept there are simple possibilities/options depending on their own red lines. The smart experienced UK civil servants with years of experience with EU tried to advise this but they were all fired or ignored. So stupid.

There was a nice trade in Cable today when it hit 1.30.. the number.. with a sell at the number and no big move on DXY. Cable now printing 1.2960.. nice 40 for S&R folk.

Every extension given, moves the UK parliament further towards either accepting a deal favourable to the EU, or UK deciding (one way or another), they will stay.

Given the turmoil inside UK parliament, and desire of many within to frustrate the process, I strongly suspect the UK will eventually end up staying in the EU, and everyone can go back to business as if this whole saga never happened.

Leave means leave the Eu and all its parts that's what people voted for not half in and half out.
Only a remainer would say no one understands what leave means.
Remainer's make out its complex ,like there's a raft of people in the leave vote,
that voted leave but want to remain in a customs union.

You underestimate the referendum ,which is common
because a referendum mean's nothing outside the UK
No one changed their mind ,when this goes back to the people =they're be mad with their representatives who scupper this, in leave areas...
