Boris Johnson has until 11pm to request an extension to Brexit from the EU after losing a vote on an amendment tabled by Oliver Letwin. The Letwin amendment, which puts a brake on Brexit, was passed by 322 votes to 306.
The prime minister insisted he would “not negotiate a delay with the EU, and neither does the law compel me to do so”. He been told he must comply with the law and the SNP’s Ian Blackford warned Johnson could end up in court.
The leader of the house, Jacob Rees-Mogg, said another meaningful vote would be held on Monday. But the Speaker, John Bercow, indicated he might not allow this as it would be “curious or irregular” attempt to “invalidate” the result of today’s vote.
Bercow also indicated that he could write the letter to the EU requesting an extension if instructed to by a judge or MPs. No 10 has yet to clarify whether Johnson will send the letter.
The People’s Vote campaign claims 1 million people have joined the march in London demanding they get a say on any Brexit deal. John McDonnell, Caroline Lucas and Anna Soubry were among those who addressed the crowds after the parliamentary vote.

1)EU clearly has an interest in extension as it means in effect..."No Brexit" - GU up

2)The Parliament is anti-Brexit - Parliament having its way means GU up

3)Brexit without deal is the main threat of GU down

seems unclear to me why some say a new extension is in favor of European. investment is a long term process and Uncertainty is like a poison to any economics and has negative effects on investing. Eur economics is also not an exceptional . being uncertainty makes lowering investing and naturally economic growth.
Johnson's deal would have passed if Letwin didn't offer this ridiculous Amendment. playing game in DUP and Labour's ground.

EU will be blamed for Brexit? That's new one! What EU (the political hierarchy) fears the most is that once UK leaves and does well, that would signal the end of EUSSR, it's BrexIn at all cost for them. If you are tired of Brexit saga, then get your leaders to not grant extension, that's the end of Brexit, very simple, but that's not part of the agenda. when are the EU just going to block this extension? Why do they keep extending nobody wants the UK in the EU but they keep on extending.
