  • Services reading shows US economy is weaker than expected amid slowdown fears

    From cnbc.com

The services sector continued its expansion in September but at a considerably slower pace than expected, according to the ISM Non-Manufacturing Index released Thursday. They want to start a war in the Middle East. Now that Oil has dropped to this level, are they trying to start a war in the Middle East just to pump the price up?

The rates were crazy low for almost a decade
There were asset purchase programs that inflated the FED's balance sheet to $4.5 TRILLION
Corporate profits are alledgedly soaring
US are in full employment

All are very strong reasons to INCREASE the interest rate and to normalize the monetary policy. You need bullets when a recession comes, and dropping the IR from 2 to 0% won't make the cut anymore.

The truth is that now, the US (like the EU, Japan and China to a greater extend because the fu*ked their economy even more than the FED) are doomed no matter what they do.

I suspect that impact of US Non-Manufacturing ISM report may be short lived and USD/JPY may pullback to upside ahead of NFP.

very strange!!! even if we assume us economics is at full employment ( that it's not true), in this event also given being inflation under target and being low consumer's expenditures, the fed have to lower rate or purchase bond. thank god you're not instead of Mr Powell, otherwise you push economics into a recession deeper than 1930.

That's the problem. Fear! And the fear mongers.

Place your trades against the fear mongers. The economy is nowhere near recession. The VIX is only a tiny blip compared to 2008, 2011, 2018.

Only someone tremendously stupid believes the actual inflation is anywhere close to the CPI.

Lenin used to call guys like you "useful idiots". You don't know anything yet make the case for the policy that precisely trapped and sunked the economy.
