Sam, many in Mexico like Mr. Trump, thanks to him, Mexico finally were able to make so many different deals with other countries in Europe and Asia. Historically US never let other countries bring different technology to Mexico. Because where forced to buy it from US. Now is possible chance to do it. The real immigration problem from center America where provoked by US Administration intervention in those countries. And weapons traffic.

I know US is a two party system. Does not matter how idiotic the issue, idea, or situation folks are loyal to their party till the death. Which eventually does happen. One party wins, the other destroys everything they shoot for. Rinse, repeat. Does not matter who is President and/or Congress.

But what I see is that there is a constant negative numbers for US data and the only way they get their dollar going is through Trump's tweets. Sooner or later it will catch up...and all you Trump lovers will have to settle for is badmouthing the Democrats when they win and then wait your turn...

If nothing changes, nothing changes...
...and for US politics it has been the same "Novela" for quite some time.

My post above does NOT breach the Trader Code of Conduct in ANY WAY.

If you, TWEE, are only going to allow pro Trump comments, then you're in the wrong job. It's a shame that you don't apply the Traders Code of Conduct to threads like Trading Made Simple with such gusto.

Commenting on this and your other post and I quote...
"Balls of steel

This is how you solve problems originating from neighboring countries."

This is how an outgoing President manipulates the market to his advantage and leaves the next administration with a heap of problems.

Also, have you heard of 5 de Mayo? Mexico does not really celebrate it, only Puebla where the war occurred (Beautiful place btw). But the US celebrates the hell out of it. Guarantee you 90% of folks have no idea the war started because Mexico owed France money, when they wanted to collect it, Mexico said f*@ you Chingao...

They did not pay...France said fine we are taking what's ours...Mexico won the war and did not pay anyways...US is only causing all others to join forces cause Mexico is certainly not sitting around. Took me some time to get used to the fact of who are Mexico's allies...

Dear FF

Why post obvious political news if we cannot freely comment on them. Censorship of this degree is suspect. Besides why hide them...
1. First, we can still read them.
2. Second, the hidden ones are the juicy ones, everyone wants to read them.

Eu has tied hands on border issue. If it doesn't close the border after Brexit, many other "larger" EU countries could follow the example. So the border it is. As long as the EU exists. No tariffs can change that. If tariffs are imposed EU will just have to accept them. Or.... no EU.

Appears early on EURO/GBP idea. But yes there is not going to be any easy answers
The issues are going to have a boil first before resolution.
US will not back down, if trade partners want continued access they are going to mend their ways or it will get costly. They have underestimated Presidents resolve.
US Corporations are starting to move production back home as they become targets in Foreign Lands.

Weekly Cycles on EURO/GBP looked like they were favoring short but initial Trend changes tend to have higher volatility and that can lead to adverse price action from shorter term cycles such as Daily time frame.

Yes... unfortunately always BOIL FIRST then resolve.
US corporations will move the production... but the level of production will shrink too (quite a bit). I guess they did the math and still win??

I know Chrysler just moved a facility back to Michigan from Mexico so they are producing domestically for Domestic consumption.

Tradingwise better to test an idea with a pilot exposure then go in full bore.

add: VP Pence most likely behind push for Mid West. Cards Trump holds have been planned for a while.
This is not a fly by seat of pants action. Media so busy attacking they completely missed what is actually going on.

Our feedback this morning suggests news about Mexican tariffs makes many investors worried that this makes it much more difficult for key Allies to take the US at its word when it comes to trade negotiations if its president can so easily lob a hand grenade into the path of an already agreed deal.

I do not have an answer for you on that question.

Mexico is not an enemy nor viewed that way. If anything the future remains very bright on relations between US and Mexico. The border is to be respected and it is within the scope of a Nations purvey to secure its own internal affairs. One of which is to control passage thru ones own country of foreign personages.

US is not going to keep accommodating illegal entry and that is basis for making a cost to illegal transit via Tariff.

90% of the Drugs coming into the United States come through Mexico & our Southern Border. 80,000 people died last year, 1,000,000 people ruined. This has gone on for many years & nothing has been done about it. We have a 100 Billion Dollar Trade Deficit with Mexico. It’s time!

Trump's modus operandi is to create a crisis so that he can then reverse a decision and come over as the hero fixing things. The US has a massive problem with prescription opioids dolled out by the local hospitals and pharmacies - so he should address that just with equal zeal.

Tell that to those in the US drug business, which is one of the most lucrative businesses in the US.

US would not fare well having Mexico as an enemy. Do not be confused and do not go by main stream media info...Mexico does not need US as much as US need Mexico. If anything, Mexico has been held back by US policies and treaties, go Google it. If US was doing so well it would not need to meddle in other countries affairs. Trump can keep lying to you guys but if the world refused to trade with US, US might get by but the rest of the world trading with each other will do much better.

Take a good look at the last few weeks of US data...charts do not reflect the constant negative data...it will catch up...sooner or later it will.
