I realize this is before you kids were born, 1988, but Trump is just trying to do exactly what he said he would try to do 31 years ago. Whether it works or not remains to be seen. Similar scenario with the Japanese back then. Our union workers making 5-10 times the typical Japanese auto worker, no way to compete in the small car market. Same now, no way we can ever compete with China's slave labor. American citizens speak with their dollars. When I want to save a few bucks and buy a piece of garbage toy for my daughter that will fall apart in a few months (something she will be bored of at that point anyways), I buy Chinese. When I need an ax to chop wood that will last for a few years. I'll pay the $80 for the American made instead of the $20 Chinese ax that will fall apart by the end of the week.

But yea, he’s probably biting his nails watching every tick of the market because when you're over 70 years old with a 7 billion net worth you need every penny. Well except for the presidential salary that he donated to charity.

I fear for our country not because of anything Trump is doing. It's today's children that live in a self-absorbed techno fantasy world filled with vile porn coupled with a consequence-free mentality. That's what I fear. Having said that I know many young people that hold to the truths of the American way, but most, not so much. Of course, they are taught to hate America from birth and then the schools take over from there.

I worked with University students for 6 years on a project and the college boys talked about the girls like they were farm animals to be devoured by their fleshly desires and the girls talked about the boys like they were imbeciles. Truth be known, women are graduating more and working more and excelling more than today's young men (and when I say "men" I really mean little boys). Today's boys are too busy playing video games sucking their thumbs. Pull up your big boy pants, make good choices, and go out in the world and compete. Oh wait, never mind, competition is scary and your feelings might get hurt if you lose. No worries, you can pick up your participation trophy for your underachievements. Truly pitiful times.
