  • Health Secretary Matt Hancock: it is "highly unlikely" that UK will leave the EU without a deal

Health Secretary Matt Hancock has told Sky News it is "highly unlikely" that the UK will leave the EU without a deal next week after MPs voted in favour of a bill to make it legally-binding for Theresa May to seek an extension to Article 50 in order to avoid a 'no-deal' Brexit

One Traders opinion..
Bullish for GBP.. appearing to reduce risk of No-Deal Crash-out.... a previously serious bearish event risk.
Reflects possible of softning of UK Gov RedLines. We understand from direct Westminster sources, that this new Gov flexibility is in part arising as a result of an increasing concern about the stability of the UK and the Union of the UK. Starting to influence UK Government and parliamentary conservative thinking, and that Brexit will trigger series of Constitutional crises -- a BorderPoll** in NI, and in Scotland IndiRef2*** .. threatening to effectively break up the UK.
As said above we are advised that ultimately this would suggest a softer Brexit than UK Govs current Withdrawal Agreement (which they have failed to ratify.

** Ni BorderPoll . a Treaty Guaranteed, referendum in NI for that country to Leave the UK
*** IndiRef2 . a second referendum in Scotland for Scotland to Leave the UK.
//Probability of both these events are almost certain in case of a No-Deal, with results too close to call.

Ignored
It doesn't appear that this is the case. Of the 6 GBP pairs against the other major currencies 3 are up and 3 are down.
