    U.S. President Donald Trump said on Friday that the Federal Reserve made a mistake by raising interest rates and blamed the central bank for hurting the U.S. economy and stock market. “Had the Fed not mistakenly raised interest rates, especially since there is very little inflation, and had they not done the ridiculously timed quantitative tightening, the 3.0 percent GDP, & Stock Market, would have both been much higher & World Markets would be in a better place!,” Trump tweeted. I'm as American as you but like many of our compatriots we live and work in China. If you ever visit western people in China, whether they are Americans, British, French or German you will find that they will all say that they live better in China than in their home countries. I honestly think that we will never rebuild our manufacturing capabilities. The reason I say this is that it's too expensive to manufacture simple items in Europe and the US as compared to manufacture them in China. Another problem that we have is that too many young people are only interested in office jobs like those related to accounting and banking. We should copy the Germans and have apprenticeship programs to get young people learning to work in industry. Today our young people go to university to learn soft skills and end up with a large debt and lousy jobs that prevent them to buy a house because of that large debt. We need to change the mind set of our young people and industries if we ever can revive manufacturing in the US.
