    Two vice chairs of the Conservative Party, Maria Caulfield and Ben Bradley, are quitting their posts in protest at Theresa May's Chequers Brexit compromise plan. Both have warned they will lose their seats unless the Tories deliver Brexit. Ms Caulfield supported Leave in the EU referendum, and Mr Bradley backed Remain. Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson and Brexit Secretary David Davis have already quit. Ms Caulfield, who was vice chairwoman for women, supported Leave in the EU referendum. For some reason, GBP and EUR is being stealthily bought by Smart Money, look at that wicked price action on GBP on monday. Resignation, the SM use it to shake out weak hands with terrifying price plunge, then they buy heavily at the low, all GBP pairs. I am tiptoes excited to see how these plays out, which is likely EUR and GBP rallies, and USD and CAD declines. OH, according to charts, CAD will sell off! I don't know how, because everyone is expecting CAD to hike, but chart seems to be selling CAD. We will see, the master aka market aka price and volume will tell us!

You clearly didn't get it the first time, so I'll repeat it just for you.

It means the majority of those who bothered to exercise their democratic right to vote, voted out.
Those who couldn't be bothered to exercise their democratic right to vote, clearly didn't want to have a say in the matter (and so they don't).

Therefore they have to accept what the rest of the electorate spoon feeds them, since that is clearly the only level of responsibility they are interested in.

If a referendum ballot bears a question and a choice of two possible outcomes.
The question reads: "we are in place 'A', do you want to go to place 'B'?"
The choices are 'yes' or 'no'.

Place 'B' is Brexit, therefore if one does not actively vote to go to place 'B' then an abstention can be viewed as an apathetic vote to remain in place 'A'.

Is a person who is acutely aware of (benefits) of remaining, going to just sit on the sideiines while a referendum is held that could (and did), turn the whole situation upside down?

It's dangerous to presume the non voters were apathetic remainers and not just apathetic citizens who didn't give enough of a toss either way. What precedent does this set? Should we just allocate all non votes to the status quo side?

If so, when Trump comes up for re-election, should they presume non voters were apathetic citizens who want him to stay in and just allocate those potential votes to him?

For NKPMG to assume all of those who didn't vote would have voted to stay, is convenient simple thinking.

You are correct. One should therefore consider the wishes of those who did not vote as being in acceptance of whatever the outcome delivered.

For traders and investors i think the issue is that the tide is going out on brexit from a demographic point of view, and with the increasing realisation of the economic price (vis JLR/Airbus/Nissan/Toyota etc) that it will cost (in its current form - no CU No SM).
My own analysis of current price levels give some cause to believe that Market has not priced this in and perhaps doesn't believe it will happen as currently anticipated?
Just a thought.
