Trump's versions is "first minute", this is NK's version of "I am ready to walk away if we cannot agree by 4 pm". Typical pre-negotiation posturing and tactics. Trump has also already used his "one-time chance" to raise the stake before the meet.

I thought there is a very good chance they will sign the peace treaty among US, SK and NK on the second day when SK President will fly in to Singapore. But we will see.

(Conspiracy theory: Or maybe the Chinese side don't want to be sidelined and left out of the peace treaty signing and therefore "threaten" to fly its airline out by 4 pm in an attempt to force a pre-mature conclusion of the summit so as to foil the signing? Lol. Considering 9 am to 4 pm is about 7 hours, around the same length of time it will take SK president Moon to fly to Singapore even if Trump called Moon at the first minute of meet when Kim nod his head. If that is true, I doubt Kim will let the plane schedule affect his stay. As long as the peace treaty is not signed, he will face the prospect of war from US/SK. He will nail it on the spot if he can.)

Peace treaty would need to be approved by 2/3 supermajority of US Congress before it could be formally signed.

I am no expert in law. But I thought there is a difference between presidential power to sign and ratification of the signed agreement by the Congress.

Just like President Moon has signed with Kim the "Panmunjeom Declaration for Peace, Prosperity and Unification of the Korean Peninsula" recently at the border during the last Inter-Korean Summit, but subsequently South Korean opposition refused to rectify the agreement at their National Assembly because they refused to recognize NK as an independent state as stated in the signed agreement.

So, signing is still possible under the Presidential power. But for it to be legally binding, it has to be rectified by Congress subsequently. Same goes for Iran deal. Trump signed the executive order to null and void the Iran agreement but it will have no legal binding until Congress rectified it and the reason Iran has not specifically make any unilateral decision on the agreement on their part yet till they can confirmed that Congress rectified it.

But if Congress refused to rectify a peace agreement, then the question is why? Is Congress asking for war?
