Gains in employment, household spending, and business fixed investment have been solid, and the unemployment rate has stayed low. On a 12-month basis, both overall inflation and inflation for items other than food and energy have continued to run below 2 percent. Non Event, in line, positiv tone, but a change in direction of dollar, i don't think so.

Edit, all depends on how the Dow and S&P500 are holding up. We could be in for a bigger correction...

When Trump said dollar was too strong, the market moved slowly but sure toward weak USD, and recently Trump said that he needed strong USD ... hm ... it could be an indication where the market is going for awhile ...

In the US household spending is all done on credit cards and does not strengthen economic activity, as credit card spending adds $1.2 Trillion of credit card debt to the economy each month.
Don't wait for the wind, take to the oars.
This hawkish statement supports the greenback.
Market is going nowhere, big boys will decide tomorrow what they are going to do with the USD.

wow Everybody seem quite bullish USD.... I"m not impressed by USD move.. Didn't smash any 4 hour levels.. USD Neutral to bearish still.

ofc hawkish for mid term and the most importaint number we need to look at is the balance of import and export, if low dollar support for selling oversea so it will be maintained around 80-89 point index..

are you leaving the room when the first of the crowd is coming in or after half or after the half is really the half now..... you have to have deep pockets to follow that strategy. nothing for retailers.

Well dx closed up a bit not screaming like a rocket but stable for now above 89, if it can stay above that it looks like about 90.300ish. Not a promise just a plan. It seems as long as King dollar creeps higher the others go down?
