This inflation expectation reflect old realities and also a typically out of touch ivory tower mentality of the Powers that be. With everyone failing to realize that the inflation targets cannot be met with the same level of economic activities compared to previous economic cycles.

For a start the same technology which enable the global companies to "create efficiencies" for corporations are used as well by consumers to create their own efficiencies as they must in order to manage the much reduced income being paid to them.

The second thing, if consumers are simply not getting paid the money how will they increase demand by buying things they can't afford in the first place? Unless we are to assume that many people including Americans haven’t learned their lesson from the last economic cycle when run up their credit to unbearable limits and lost many assets as a consequence.

lol you think move to 1.22 was because of brokers targeting retail traders (5% of total daily volume)? Wake up.

They are not ending it in 1 step, they started with 80Billion, they went down to 60B and now down to 30B so the next step is 0B

They try to go out like the CHF style. When the central bank was put the ceiling on the EUR/CHF and when they remove it with one step. Wonder if they actually do it do we going to see another big crash happening.
