There are real issues to be addressed for all countries. At the margin all that matters is that protectionist measures are removed and that includes US protectionism. Donald continues to whistle in the wind of change.

Trump doesn't seem to understand trade. Reciprocal trade would be great if the USD had anything that foreign countries want to import. Trump is against any tariffs that could level the playing field. Also Trump could have his Brand be made in America. LOL Trump will do nothing that would hurt his finances. His Billions in deals are nothing more than suggestions or memos. He did nothing in Asia except ruin any chance we could be involved in trade. The g-20 is now the g-19 the USA has been left out. Trump is in some world where fantasies are thought of as fact. How he can lie is amazing..what is really amazing is the republicans that go along with him.

Deals ? maybe he made a deal with Putin when he was sucking up to him and maligning our intelligence agencies . Otherwise he was a laughing stock - asked the Japanese to please make some cars in the US not even aware Japanese cars have been made here for decades . He got nothing from Japan while there .
Does anyone realize who our two biggest trading partners are ? Its Mexico and Canada , first two countries he insulted after taking office . Great idea to build a wall that would do nothing but enrich the construction company that builds it . Bad guys just laugh and dig a tunnel . The only wall that`s been built is between reality and fiction , truth and lies . So far he has done nothing for most who voted for him . BTW I don`t give a shit what hat the guy in the White House wears as long as he does some good for all of us .

The US is a huge consumer of goods from around the world. If they try to have everything built in America they will no longer be taking advantage of the low wages in other countries. The Dollar stores will have to change name to $15.00 Store. $400.00 for pair of Levi's.

Very good point. In a free competitive world market place, companies will try to find the lowest cost of producing their products with acceptable quality level. Currently, those manufacturers are mostly located in Asia. However, in the future when manufacturing costs go up in Asia those companies will looks elsewhere.
The market is designed to fool most of the people, most of the time.
