I vouch for tickmill as the 'Best Broker' I have traded with so far in the last few years. You are definitely better than even Pepperstone. Keep up the good services .

"Losses can exceed the initial investment" ... 🤔
I assume that's not applicable to Forex as most brokers will have margin-call and margin-cut levels when there's no SL on the trades ...

Remember the GU flash crash? Or the swiss franc? With moves that quick and big, no settings help the broker...

No, this does apply to forex.
Read your trading agreement with your broker.

This is how I understand it works.

Imagine a situation where there is a big event like 9/11, or a war etc
and money suddenly flows into USD and/or JPY and/or CHF.
So there is large volatility and large position closures creating price spikes.
When this happens the liquidity providers shut down their servers and our open positions cannot close.

When the market reopens we could be +ve by thousands of pips and make a killing
Or we could be -ve by thousands of pips in which case the margin call facility of the broker will close our positions at market prices and we will be liable for the 1000's of pips loss.

If at the time of the problem we were trading 5 lots and our position was closed at -1000 pips
then our account will be -$50,000
and the broker will attempt to recover this $50K.
Even if we have no money to pay, if we have assets in our name, those assets could be at risk.
Have a nice day

Pepperstone Commissions are much more than what is charged by tickmill.
Huge slippage in pepperstone even when no news was released.

Thanks, I don't have a live account with Tickmill so its hard for me to compare.
But are you comparing exactly the same account type?
Are you going through cashback forex for any of the two brokers?
Because that will increase your trading cost.

I am using cashbackforex program for rebates. Does it actually affect the commissions?
Tickmill , I am receiving cashback with no affect to my trading commissions charged by the broker.

It depends.
Cashbackforex are useful if you are a small client and don't get any discounts by dealing directly with the broker.

I looked at the cashbackforex website and after the rebates the trading costs for these 2 brokers would be similar but what they don't tell you is what the spread is and as you know the spread will fluctuate during the day and could be smaller or bigger depending on the pair and the time of the day so it can be very hard to do a direct comparison.

Slippage is generally a problem during volatile and/or low liquidity times.
Outside those times, I have not noticed significant differences between my brokers ( IcMarkets and pepperstone)
Have a nice day

I have been using tickmill for more than 18 months now. No problems with spreads or slippage.
Pepperstone I have used for about 1 month only. So far spreads are near zero most of the time for EU.
Whats your opinion on icmarkets as I plan to open an account with them in the near future?

Sure I have a trading plan. Buy low. Sell high. What's yours?

No problems with small withdrawals till now.
Persons withdrawing thousands of dollars can talk about their experience so that we can know the broker's reputation and reliability in more details.

Ok. Thanks.
When I make a withdrawal, that is k40-k50$ in average. I am very interested in knowing how the withdrawals work guys. Please, anyone!
How long you have to wait before you see the money in your bank account?
Is there approval time that you have to wait, or is it done automatically with no questions.
Anyone please!

I like ICMarkets the most, they've had some problems a few years back but now are very good.
If you open an account join through the HFT group and you will get a direct discount on the commissions.
http://www.hftgroupfx.com/ Or you can go through cashbackforex

Pepperstone are slightly more expensive but have easier online withdrawals

I'm trying out Tickmill and can confirm the pluses mentioned, such as commissions being around half that of Pepperstone. They also have more choices of servers at various locations around the world. I just wish they would offer Paypal for funding and withdrawal like Pepperstone does.

Actually I did a comparison and the difference is not that much.
Tickmill is $1 cheaper per lot so instead of $6 you would pay approx $5 commission.
However, their spread is higher and often close to 1 pip so you end up paying more that way.
