  • Trump’s Executive Order on Immigration: What We Know and What We Don’t

    From nytimes.com

President Trump’s executive order on immigration indefinitely barred Syrian refugees from entering the United States, suspended all refugee admissions for 120 days and blocked citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries, refugees or otherwise, from entering the United States for 90 days: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen. The order unleashed chaos on the immigration system and in airports in the United States and overseas, and prompted protests and legal action. Here is a quick guide to what we know and what we don’t know about the order. What We Know The executive order was signed at 4:42 p.m. ... (full story)

More Golden showers bollocks, the article headline is a piece of trash.

Trump did not suggest badges or even a database, that was the "suggestive" efforts of a reporter.

But as usual, the critical mass swallow the news headlines hook, line and sinker

Yes ... "it's only a database" (;

"Just so it's clear, Trump did not suggest that Muslim-Americans should be required to wear a symbol that would visibly identify them as Muslims, such as a gold crescent. (On the other hand, he did not rule it out.) "

In addition to their many delusions, the Trumpets also have a bad case of "boiling frog syndrome."

No need to rant or rave, looks a great decision to me.

Trump is starting to get tough, just as he was elected to do.

And of course the laughs keep on coming as the King of Cucks (Chuck Schumer) starts to cry at a press conference. Shocking behaviour that from a politician.

I haven't called him 'Glorious' yet. Certainly a Great Man but not yet glorious. Perhaps after the first 100 days, let's see.

Whatever the case I doubt there's one Trump voter that would change their minds about how they voted. But I would think there are countless non-Trump voters saying 'hold on, I'm beginning to like what's he's doing'...

"Yes "fed up", as in massive deportation of all muslim extremists from the civilized democratic world back to the stone age regions of the earth where they belong.
Where they can lop off as many heads and beat as many women as they wish.
Many muslims are now heavily practicing taqiyya when asked about this event, when actually what they are doing is this: Koran 9:29: Fight them until all opposition ends and all submit to Allah"

where were all these protesters when in 2009 Obama banned refugees from Iraq from entering the country for a period of 6 months

"As a result of the Kentucky case, the State Department stopped processing Iraq refugees for six months in 2011, federal officials told ABC News – even for many who had heroically helped U.S. forces as interpreters and intelligence assets."

7 countries have been targeted by the Trump Ban.
None of which were involved in 9/11.. and whos citizens have had little or no aprticipation in terror attacks since 2001.
None of which Trump business enterprises have any investment. (4)

Why no ban on Saudia Arabia/Pakistan/Egypt/Gulf States?
Everyone with the faintest familiarity with the subject knows that this is the reality.
Its is factions in these countries that are financing the terrorists

Of about 400 individuals charged with or credibly involved in jihad-inspired activity in the U.S. since 9/11, just under half (197) were U.S.-born citizens, according to research by the nonpartisan think tank New America Foundation. An additional 82 were naturalized citizens, and 44 were permanent residents.

I just dont understand such disjointed policy decisions.

Trump can see what is happening in Europe and doesn't want any of that either. Merkel has allowed terrorists, hate-preachers, rapists, paedophiles into Europe in the guise of immigrants and refugees which Trump can see and recognise on a daily basis.

Why would he not want to stop this sort of detritus entering the USA? It is right and proper that he takes a stance and implements serious vetting from this region.

He may not have done it in the best way, but he unafraid of addressing the real issues

Wang Pao was also one of those "who had heroically helped U.S. forces"(verv), but such "heroes" usually find their way to the USA.
As an "experienced general", he quietly sold "Asian fast food" later in the USA.

Stick to the point.... NO REDIRECTION

What a pity then that the UK government, didnt take a similar sanction against Irish people following the IRAs 1984 attempt to assassinate Maggie Thatcher and half the UK government in Brighton?

That probably is the only way you could limit opinion to the one that matches your.

You refer to others as Masqueraders, yet you are guilty of the same, pretending to want the debate about Brexit and claiming to be unbiased in your view and as we all know, that was an untruth.

But in good old EU style, when cliffedwards does not get the answers he wants to kill the debate "I think its Time for FF to clean the swamp"

W/o reading all the posts so far I say it is a start. For those shocked at the ban you should research the history of bans on immigration to the US. Not one of the 6.7 billion non American citizens on the planet has the right to enter uninvited or to stay longer than allowed. Same as a guest to your house. For each ban it has been for what seemed good reason at the time. It is not rational to invite 10 in when there is a history of some of the previous 10 being enemies and a danger to the citizens. I would go further than Trump has. Just noticing the post above which shows a lack of knowledge of both present and historical events. Those liberal Americans are also protected by the immigration ban. About time we have a pro America president. Every nation should have a leader looking out for them first.

Oh yes @mingery.. lest lance this TOXIC BOIL!
I sure as hell dont agree with all you post mate..
But I respect your opinions.
I respect your depth of thinking that shows you an educated man.
When you are at your most controversial.. and I most disagree, I can still see the philosophical under -pinning to even your most apparently daft posts.
I cannot extend that respect to many others here.
Either when I agree or disagree with their sentiments.

The problem here, as in many aspect of business.. was summed up by Mark Twains advise over 100 years ago..

“Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.” .... and theres always the danger that "onlookers may not be able to tell the difference.”

He seem hell bent on keeping some dumb Campaign promises even if those promises get in the way of his oath to protect the constitution!

When it was the EEC it was not so bad, but the UK electorate never voted for Political integration under the Lisbon Treaty. And as for arselicking, every PM prior to the current one and with the exception of Thatcher has been engaged in that practice with the leaders of the EU and EEC. The EU is the biggest protectionist organisation in history. You are so full of EU twaddle

The UK will not be subject to US civil laws in our own country

Commercial law is different in that it is dependant on the jurisdiction of the contract, as stated in the contract

Thats the trouble with Trump..
In some ways he IS an American Hero..
IMHO.. Problem is that hes also totally naive.. he actually thinks he can run a Nation State in the 21st century like a Hotel chain. there are levels of complications that he has NO idea about.. He could learn, hes smart.. but with his fragile personality and his arrogance he seems psychologically ill-equipped to meet that challenge.

We have seen a similar movie before called BushII its amazing that anyone else would be racing to the bottom to get ahead of BushII in snatching a recession from a strong economy and dragging the world back into the ditch.

Just ask the people who lost their homes and jobs if Bush was a hero. As if the ditch dug by bush wasnt deep enough. The current leader is walking blind into an even bigger ditch Just mark my words!

Trump intends to do this by:

1)Giving more tax cuts to the rich as bush did
2)Remove the commonsense regulations that ensured the recovery.
3)Must fight more wars since is redlines which are so easily imposed cannot be ignored without a war.
4)Trigger trade wars which will only reverse global trade
5)All at the same time while removing whatever little benefit there are in the healthcare system.

These are the same warning ignored by Bush who like yourself believe that conservative nonsense approach to the economy will lead to prosperity.

I guess you will also deny the Great depression 2006-8 happened.

1. Under the Rule 39 powers of the European Court of Human Rights, judges can issue interim measures that are binding on nation states if they believe the applicant “faces a real risk of serious, irreversible harm if the measure is not applied”.
This prevents deportation going ahead until the case can be heard in detail.

2. The 900 figure you quote refers to multiple years. You quoted this figure in another thread, but when asked to define the timescale applicaple to the 900 figure.. you didnt respond.?? Whatever.. set against the 86,000 prison population of the UK..it hardly seems like a crisis figure?
Incidentally I see that The number of Rule 39 measures granted against Britain has fallen in recent years, from 527 in 2008 to 35 last year.

When are you going to realize that it is not the "Heads of States" that causes these problems. Yes there is going to be a depression 2018- 2019 start but its not going to be because of Trump and his policies. Unless he was around or they knew he was going to born back in the 1800's.

1)Giving more tax cuts to the rich as bush did
2)Remove the commonsense regulations that ensured...

we, America is under a false monetary system --- the Fed is not federal --- so yes we may be facing another depression and the media will make you week minds think it is Trumps fault........ the main stream media has your mind, Ha Ha Haaa

America will have to face the pain of this False Fed (private corp) system sooner or later.... you think that Obama saved us from the so call 2008 depression --- just more deception and it will only be worse from the past policies.

All Politicians are bought off...How is the world run otherwise.

Which is why I keep saying on these forums that our so called elected leaders dont really work for the people as the people believe. Ultimately the world is run by money and there is not many on the planet who will say they have enough.

How do you figure The Kennedys have such a hard time.

You better guess again if you seriously believe Trump will be able to do any differently. At least he is somewhat familiar with the real rulers of the world.

The real problem with Trump is not what he cant do but what he is doing to make the majority of the peoples lives miserable because of his limited one sided views.

This is where the Democrats with their multiplicity of views are way stronger than many of the Republican leadership for the last 4 or 5 decades. Democrats especially the likes of Obama is way more open minded than even his less admired and mean spirited so called Patriotic Americans with whom he learned a lot from about how nasty and vitriolic fellow human beings can be. How can Patriots who are hardly willing to sacrifice anything for the country be willing to hold back the development and recovery of the global economy for 8 years in the interest of blind ideology.

I am still bemused even ashamed that human beings could stoop to such low levels as the Republicans did for the last 8 years for the simple reason that someone look a little different than they do.

Well they have done enough to confirm that indeed this side of America (Those who are unwilling to accept the human family as it is rather than how their limited minds tell them)is and has been the Mother of South African for these decades.

Even more ridiculous to have people coming online to say they support the humans who conduct themselves in such base shameless way trolling on the international stage representing the weakest minded people among us.

Yes I will not deny anyone who is still unlearned enough to understand the value of a human life and what a human life really is. But I know it is the duty of leadership to encourage their followers to rise about petty nonsense that most have a difficulty overcoming.

These kind of base way of thinking must not be dressed up as conservatism but must be revealed for what it is. Heroic leadership requires leaders to step away from those who would persist in their belief that a human life is defined by their outward appearance.

Just finished reading The Muslim Brotherhood by Carrie Wickham, 2013. It's the history of the organization to that point with many interviews and quotes of members. What is clear is while they are as claimed moderates it is only in comparison to more radical groups. A longer timeline to the same goal does not help women and others. Let's see if this post stays.

America is a nation of Immigrants.

The problem is that some seem to want to create artificial segregations between people. This is not by chance we live in a world where some kind of people (those who think in a predominantly "conservative" kind of way seem to think its easier to control people with a divide and conquer strategy.

They seem adamant about their truth, that all men are not created equal. Else why do they seem to think they must impose their crazy ideas on others and labelling people at the earliest opportunity with labels such as "Liberal and lefties".

Separatism is a function of extreme fear...so conservative types are therefore a fearful type. Frankly I dont have a problem with anyone who inclined to be open minded and others who are not. I know that as a species we are not complete. But some dont realize that we must continue to grow in unity with each other.

There is none in the human family who is happy being separate so this is the kind of realism that many are unable to get to grips with.

Technically a depression is a recession lasting longer than 2 years, so it would still be a recession, not a depression. otherwise agree with what your saying, the potus is going to lead us into another recession, hopefully not the great depression all the doom sayers are claiming..

How's this for media B.S. trying incite something."Times columnist and author India Knight has called for the assassination of U.S. President, Donald J. Trump.
During a days-long invective against the newly inaugurated President on Twitter in which Knight called Mr. Trump a “moron,” “mad,” “needy,” and an “arse,” among other things, before telling him to “shut up,” she mused, “The assassination is taking such a long time”:

The assassination is taking such a long time.

— India Knight (@indiaknight) January 28, 2017

Knight’s attitude is directly in-line with the British media class, many of whom she has cheered on via Twitter over the last few days."

The number of signatories has now risen to just under 1.7 Million at time of posting.

There will be without a doubt an attempt by subversives to pollute this poll. with the purpose of discrediting its validity. I understand from UK Gov IT sources that such attempts are being monitored, and will be used to identify sources of such interference in the democratic process with the purpose of prosecution.

I understand from UK Gov IT sources that such attempts are being monitored, and will be used to identify sources of such interference in the democratic process with the purpose of prosecution.

There are >58 million who haven't signed that petition. There have also been other Trump petitions like this one:

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/114003
- which has been rejected.

It's not like this hasn't been tried before.

I laughed when downing street said the petition was a "populist gesture" and would be counter productive. The irony of those shouting loudly about Brexit and Trump election being 'Mob rule' is not lost on Number 10.

There are too many blind people in US and Europe. That's why I try to wake them to see the reality. Wake up and smell some coffee. I hope it's not too late. And still early in the morning. Hopefully.

That's my point PM about the King of the Cucks Chuck Schumer.

He cries about a few people from the Middle east not being allowed in to the US yet no tears for when the US bombs the crap out of the region.

Same with the argument about the ban being a recruitment policy for terrorists. And what, the bombing the crap out of them didn't produce any?

The hypocrisy is off the charts.

Interesting. The trouble is everyone around the world are trying to force their beliefs ( I wont say religion) on to everyone else. I dont mind people have different beliefs but when they start forcing it upon me or how I live then thats when I get pissed. Trouble is its been going on since the dot and nothing has changed. People have been so brain washed by Politicians and Do Gooders that all cultures and beliefs can live in harmony. That maybe so until one group starts to force their beliefs on to everyone else. Thats when the "shit hits the fan" and people start to fight back like whats going on in USA and Britain.

refreshing to read some facts on the matter instead of the presumptuous rhetoric which is also prevalent in the mainsteam media headlines (at least we know where they get their views from lol).
Reminds me of the "America First" headline being touted as a foundation for yet more presumptuous rehetoric that UK will get screwed by their US trade deal.
Of course, they won't use Trumps comment in its' entirety but will prefer to omit certain other important aspects of his statement.
He is on record as saying;

"I will be tough but I will be fair. I will put America First just as I would expect other countries to put their interests first".

This represents nothing more than the reality faced by any 2 parties when they come together to negotiate. But in classic convenient style, some wish to quote his campaign slogan(in it's most simplistic form) and apply it as a blanket argument to promote their own view.

They also conveniently ignore context. A situation where America is clearly getting screwed by what Trump calls shitty deals with China and mexico.

When we consider his "America First" policy in its' more complete form above, rather than the edited version conveniently promoted CNN style, and couple this with the multi billion dollar trade deficit hole America is in, its' not hard to imagine all Trump wants to do is balance the ledger. Help America straighten up again after being bent over the trade deficit barrel and taking it up the clacker for long enough.

And there is certainly nothing in what he has said (again when viewed in its' unedited form) that suggests new trading partners such as the UK are going to have to bend over and take one courtesy of the 1 way Trade Trump Train fantasy.....

It seems to me, some are adopting the simplistic, convenient and factually deficient tactics of "The Mob" they so publicly abhor....

Since that time, most nations have learned that rape and murder are unacceptable in civilised society, whereas the those coming from the banned countries follow teachings which not only include rape and murder but also bring other little cultural ditties such as religious intolerance, hate preaching, child marriages, marriage between close relations, FGM, forced marriages, male female segregation, gay hatred, subjugation of women, to name but a few.

We all know the answer to that. Not so smart Giuliani even gave answer on television. A ban because of religion is against US law and then he is creative and find other ways to do it. That Saudi Arabia is not included I think is a calculation between ideologi and money for Trump and for now money weighted more.

suggestion to ff: seeing that some commentators make multiple quotes which misrepresents the total number of quotes, do this: let's say Devauxt makes 20 quotes, then list them as 22, 22.1, 22.2, 22.3, 22.4 .....etc.. then only count all 22.xyz quotes as one quote. in most democracies a voter can only vote once in the same election. multiple quotes by one or more commentators distorts the number of comments.

This would also be in line with the Pareto Principle or 80/20 rule where 20% of the commentators make 80% of the quoutes.

You really need to ask Obama.
It's the 7 countries he listed as "countries of concern" under the Visa Waiver Program Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act of 2015 that Trump focused on for his temporary travel ban. In addition, the 7 countries were not named by Trump but are on the list because of Obamas' policy with Department of Homeland Security focusing on these "countries of concern" about 2 years before Trump came into office.

But let's not let any details get in the way of a nice convenient story eh...

Islam is not just a religion, Islam is also the politics in one. It is clear.
BUT -stop (ban) the refugees and punish those people who (our guilt too ) lost their homes, families - in general conditions of life, and on the other hand do not punish war criminals Bush Junior, Tony Blair and the rest of the scum (who cooked all that junk up) - it's really typically Western hypocrisy. Muslims will never forgive us that shame.

What Obama did was not a ban.

But...

Yes, you have already pointed that out previously and I have already replied.

But let's go over it just 1 more time shall we.
I have never said Obama listed a travel ban.

The 7 countries were listed as "Countries of concern" under the Obama administration within the Visa Waiver Program Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act of 2015.
It is the countries on Obamas' "Countries of Concern" list that Trump has targeted for his temporary travel ban.

These are the facts.

The presumptions being made and promoted in here are that Trump didn't target other more wealthy Muslim countries (such as those involved in September 11) because he has business interests in those wealthier countries.

He has business interests in many wealthier countries.
He Does NOT have business interests in the 7 listed countries because, well, what private entrepreneur would??

Hence my post " you really need to ask Obama".
Why?
Why didn't Obama list these other wealthier countries involved in the Sept 11 attacks etc within his "Countries of concern" of the Visa Waiver Program Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act of 2015.
Did he have a conflict of interest also?

Or is there something else in play here?

Something just a little more complex than your simplistic/convenient argument

You are a such a gutless coward.
My ramblings?? lol...
You're a clown...

Your fact checks address the issue of comparing Trumps policy to Obamas.
I'm clearly not talking about how similar the 2 are. I am addressing the shallow presumptions made about why the 7 countries are on the travel ban list and why other countries are not.
But you "neglected" to address any of my points made on this issue.

It is a shame that you equate Trump followers with the followers of Islam.

Those who voted for Trump are proud of their country and the ideals and laws on which the the country is based, whereas the other is an authoritarian sect where large numbers of its followers believe in murder, rape, religious intolerance, hate preaching, child marriages, marriage between close relations, FGM, forced marriages, male female segregation, gay hatred, subjugation of women.

I can't see the similarity myself. Maybe you could others in here understand

I choose neither and I reject both.
For the "true trump believer" such as yourself, to be against Trump is to be pro-islam.
In that respect, they are similar. The difference is only some order of magnitude.. but the mind of the "true believer of all creed" only needs to be pushed just a little to sink into total aberration.

Liberal jackasses saying Trump's ban will help create 'terrorists' because they will now view the US as being anti-Islam.

Let me get this right.

The US bombs, drones and assassinates people in the Middle east at will for the last decade and more but that doesn't create terrorists.

Yet as soon as they stop a few nutjobs coming into the US that's the spark that's needed for 10,001 of them to strap on their suicide vests.

What a joke.

Liberals have zero credibility with the lame and pathetic arguments.

Whilst racial and religious intolerance, xenophobia, hate preaching, gay hatred, objectification/subjugation of women, extreme nationalism and sectarianism. can all be found among the US population, neither the US constitution nor the laws of the US support these.

However the beliefs and practices mentioned earlier are contained in the Qur'an and the Hadith (laws and teachings)of that sect

I would like to share just a few comments about facts we as traders see everyday and that reflects the current situation of the country without taking any side.

1.- Right now its easer for day traders to trade and hedge funds are having a very hard time, trump tweets are making it impossible, in my case I am in both conditions, I am a day trader in a hedge fund and the way to trade right now is looking at his tweets, technical and fundamental is not working.

2.- Market reaction this week has been showing a huge down move in dow jones, this reflects the deep concern of investors that Trump is not seen as a long term president, no confidence at all.

3.- About the Transpacific and Nafta treaty, let me explain you how serious both are, In the Transpacific Trump decided to leave, with this decision he leaves his place to China, in simple words, he is giving away a porshe car with leather seats and with full tank and gave the keys to China, in exchange of NOTHING.
The rule number one in trading is never give something in exchange of nothing, even a small store owner knows that. So the damage is really huge, he turned USA from being the one who leads commerce and took it out giving the leaership instantly to China so now it will be China who will impose trading rules.

About Nafta, it was formed by 3 countries to trade with good conditions and benefit each other, the only thing that has changed in time is that at the time it was signed internet and online trading did not exist and it was not ruled since then, but Mexico is not taking advantage at all, you just need to read it to confirm it, dont take all the things Trump says for granted or truthful, first check everything, and in case Trump decide to leave 5 million jobs will be lost and around 250 million dllrs traded everyday will be lost, again it is only USA who is leaving, and Germany and maybe China again, are ready to take its place.

Also the way he ambushed the Mexican comitee by receiving them with the announcement of the wall, puts in danger not only Nafta but all relations, because consider Mexico is a frontier, the security of this frontier is an incaculable assets for USA he can ask to his predecesors.
In case of any trouble. Mexico can leave it totally abandoned, because you can do the dirty job of a friend but you must not do the dirty job of an enemy, so Cartels, centroamericans and terrorist could openly enter without any problem.

So this leaves USA out of everything, isolated, small and flooded with inmigrants and cartels.

4.- The inmigration order, In this case Trump totally shot himself in the foot, let me explain you why. Before Trump was President there are Treaties signed about refugees, in Geneve, those documents were signed among countries that agree to accept refugees, not only USA but Germany, Canada, etc. So Trump clearly did not know, nobody told him about those documents and his obligations as president to honour them and decided to invent a law to ban not only refugees but only Muslims, repeting all the time that Christians were dying so not only what he did was morally wrong, but also illegal, and he has to honour those documents which Angela Merkel had to call him and explain him what a Treaty is and which are his obligations, so in the next few days you will see how this rule will vanish. But also banning Muslims gave to the Radicals the perfect excuse to attack USA, the arab world is confirming the hate against them so those people that act as loners will increase a lot, now they have the perfect excuse.

Something I have also noticed is the respect and the image USA is having abroad, in the UK there will be a referendum to vote against the visit of Donald Trump and Asian banks are having trouble to make any negotiation because they think Trump will not honour any treatment he signs.

All those things were done in only 10 days, and the country already has severe social, economical, political, religous and terror threats.

At this moment the most important thing is the country I totally respect any political belief and I think that in both parties are very smart and valuable people, but USA in my humble opinion is having the worst time ever. If you still want a country with all the benefits it offered you then it is time to help the country it is time to do something for it, in only 10 days the country has problems many countries dont have at all, never.

Please think a little about it when you are alone at home, and pray for the country and its leaders, at this moment praying will help too.

Thank you. Some immigrants do not acknowledge let alone respect and honor your constitution nor laws nor culture. Some belief see your constitution, laws and culture are inferior and should be under their law. Even if you as the host country and they as immigrants.

And some immigrants think they are far more superior than their host country. And some immigrants think they should have more rights than the citizens.

In short some immigrants despise your constitution, Democracy, laws and culture.

I try to be as polite as possible. But also to be accurate. I have omitted some words that can be termed as hate speech.

In short some immigrants despise your constitution, Democracy, laws and culture.
