  • Some Peso Traders Want Mexico to Buy Twitter and Shut It Down

    From bloomberg.com

There’s a strange idea circulating among Mexican currency traders. Well, more of a joke really. But there’s a certain logic to it. It goes like this: Instead of spending its precious reserves to defend the peso, Mexico should just buy Twitter Inc. -- at a cost of about $12 billion -- and immediately shut it down. The notion made the rounds this week after the central bank revealed it had already blown through $2 billion of reserves in a largely futile effort to shield the peso from a steady stream of anti-Mexico Tweets from Donald Trump. “I would suggest they do it fast,” joked Juan Carlos Alderete, a ... Now that everyone knows that chump's wall is a flop and will never built, it's time to short this pair for the next four years.

Well if they do that, another company will step in and offer another alternative to Twitter. Instagram anyone? The short shortsightedness of these loonies astounds me to no ends. To think that shutting down a multi-million dollar successful platform such as twitter to satisfy a few snowflake hurt feeling types who think it will fix their problems with Trump is beyond absurd, and it's just dumb!

It would be better for the USA just to annex Mexico and forget the wall. There might still need to be a wall, but the further south you go into Central America, the shorter the wall would need to be. So I guess if we annexed everything down to the Panama Canal, the wall would be way shorter or moot. Anyway, I have been to Mexico some and I have asked Mexicans about this. The overwhelming consensus has always been: "ay Dios mio, hellz yes we would want to be part of the USA." This is the deal the Great Trump should do: we just buy Mexico. Most of it is owned by a handful of oligarch families and they are already here anyway, living large in Miami and L.A. Hell we bought most of the western US (then the Louisiana Purchase) for $3MM - how much more could Mexico be?

Atleast for me the article is a joke... As if at one point Twitter gets shutdown what do you think a Twitter like website wouldn't be born somewhere for the people to retweet ... Use some common sense...

Nice idea. Maybe somebody can buy politicians to do referendum in Mexico. Thenfinance a campaign. Then buy people votes. That will guarantee a smooth path integration to US.

Me thinks you get your news somewhere that isn't very reliable. As in alphabet fake news dealers. But please, go ahead and build a long-term short in USD/MXN. Ross Perot told the fundamental tale in 1992. When a country with money makes a trade deal with a country containing a slave-level population, the money goes to the country populated by the slave-level workforce. Ross was a billionaire businessman, too. Instead, we got the third globalist sell-out (willy-bob) in a row. We will soon be rid of the fifth (sellout) and the standard of living for working Americans will have a chance to rise, IF the Rothschild controlled central bank doesn't jack rates and blow out the economy, which it seems they are planning to do. Thirty-five straight years of anti-American administrations has driven us from $850B in debt, to over $19B. We suck balls in America because of the globalists. Not because of the America workman.

Im interested to see the effect of a gradual withdrawal, of all Mexican cooperation to the DEA and FBI whos success in curbing the drug trade is so dependent on their goodwill..
Naturally it will not be tweeted, or announced.. and will most certainly be strenuously denied.
Goodwill has many unseen facets, and its destruction many hidden costs..
I wonder if they are all in Mr Ts playbook. Understanding the art of running a country with its myriads of complex and conflicting interests is a long step from building a Hotel.

The Peso currently is being oversold vs the USD... just by Trump talking bad about Mexico. Watching closely what Trump does and not what he says when he takes the office.

If twitter were shut down they would need to buy FB also.

If that were shut down he would then likely just start up his own social media outlet.

With his idiotic rants on Twitter trump is tapping into and playing with the herd mentality. Group Cohesion: this is one of the primal drives. He is doing today what some neanderthal leader would do thousands of years ago and it is irresistible to the weak minded of today and they are many!.
The leader grunts "there be mammoths" and the whole clan get up and drool !
The leader grunts "there be enemies" and the whole clan rises up in anger.

If Trump is inaugurated without being rubbed out on the podium by the CIA, He will have access to press conferences and won't be at the mercy of the lying globalist controlled alphabet news mercenaries. I expect his tweeting won't be necessary at that time. I am just grateful that twitter was available for him to get his true positions out to the world, without being twisted by controlled 'journalists'.

He already has calmed down. The globalists will use their corrupted operators to try to assassinate him. He has specifically appointed military men, businessmen and select politicians who are known to have not allowed themselves to be corrupted, to his cabinet. It may work, or the bankers may crash the economy again to discredit him. I hope he is able to prevail.
