    From businessinsider.com

Jack Ma, the founder and chairman of Alibaba Group, met with President-elect Donald Trump at Trump Tower on Monday. Ma and Trump met with reporters briefly after the meeting and said they discussed plans to create 1 million US jobs by allowing small and medium-sized businesses to sell to China through the company's platforms. 94% of all jobs created under Obama were Part-Time. A nation full of baristas and bartenders.

Wait till China and Mexico start retaliating, DT is a net job destroyer, these couple of hundred manufacturing jobs that are coming back are probably replaced by automation within a decade anyway.

Better become a bartender, great job security !

Wrong. Only about 4 or 5 mil new jobs - most part time low paying - were created. All the rest were to make up catch up with jobs lost 2008 - 2010. Participation rate is the actual tell tell sign of the job market and it is still way down at late 1970s early 1980s levels.

I'm sure your next response will be to echo the fallacy that the US is almost at full employment...

There you go.

Scholars at the Peterson Institute modeled what would happen if DT was to slap tariffs on Mexico and China.

By 2019, the trade war would cost hundreds of billions of dollars in lost output and would result in the loss of a whopping 4.8 million private sector jobs.

That might have the adverse affect of making Mexican exports cheaper, increasing exports overall. China did it brilliantly helping the yuan to under appreciate and become a global manufacturing house. A dollar rise could hurt American manufacturing.

Except in Mexico, last week gas prices were raised 20%. The people are protesting and rioting everywhere. Cost of goods are expected to raise because of the gas price increase. Next month prices are allowed to rise daily.

Mexico desperately needs a lower peso or the riots will increase. People cannot feed themselves.

Nice try, but....

So Trump meets with one of the most influential billionaire in China to help build jobs for Americans? You think that's what the conversation was about? I would think it was more of how tow rich business men build a relation, combine their resources and figure out ways to maximise their profits. May I remind everyone that Trump is a business man not a public servant. Do you think Trump is all of the sudden going to serve rather then play the game he so much loves?
If you do then your just too naive.

Remember how the Great Man when electioneering said by the time he's finished the average American is going to say 'stop Mr President, we can't take much more winning'. To which the Great Man replies 'NO, I'm going to win even more!"

All these announcements are just a small snowball starting to fall down a big mountain.

Not long now till the 20th January...

Dow is now at 20K, due in part to the Trump rally -Wall Street knows Trump is serious when he says he'll bring jobs back to America. Of course, I don't expect clown libtards (who use pseudonyms from James Bond movies) to comprehend this.

BTW, it's really a cheap shot to call 60 million voters Klan members. Then again, whiny pathetic insults are all the regressive Left have. They certainly have no solutions, as evidenced by the sorry excuse for a candidate they ran. But, it's OK - I'm sure the Clintons will continue to rake in billions for their scam "charity".

In the U.S. we have had the three productive economic sectors attacked by both (fake) political parties since 1970. We have imported $30 to $60B per mo. More than we have exported, since sleazy ron reagan sold rigganomics to a brain dead public in 1980. Both parties have been on the "borrow and spend, farm out productive work' bus since rigganomics first hit the fan in 1981. We are, because of this malevolent policy, buried in public and private debt. Trump is the very first president since Johnson, (1963-68) to even mention that maybe we can't live forever buying stuff from other people without selling anything to get the cash back. We are nearing the end of the time where borrowing money will work without some productivity to show. GDP is a poor gauge of economic health. Productivity is the real statistic that should be watched. Had you been watching, you'd have seen the demise coming a mile off, like I did.
