I understand, calling it as you see without being misunderstood can be a challenge.

My opinion is that in several years we will know what kind of leader he is. Now I can only guess using the little information I have. Trump's' election is a Black
Swan event for many people, so now we have opportunity to look for.

Trump is not in Obama's league. Obama running circles around him. Trump knows this and can't handle it hence his Twitter rant. It's his way of pouting like a child.

Either true or false doesn't matter, FF posts paid flash news / rumors with high impact category mark. They are also human, they need money. xD
At least we can still see the posts with extra clicks. I'm surprised at the wholesale blockage of what seems to be rather tame posts. There have been more vitriolic posts re BHO and/or Trump w/o conduct violations. Faster than anything make a somewhat negative comment re Islam. Gone in a nanosecond.

The POST-REALITY world of universal hacking has reached FF..LoL

Ive often wondered how it took so long..

Since far from being a bunch of niche-interest and very naive well meaning enthusiasts when I joined 10 years ago, sharing ideas and engaging in a mutual help focus.. like so may other parts of the Web its turned into a trolling ground for muppets. Its time for FF to do a major rethink on the whole FFNews service.. bcs I think it cannot continue in its current form given the brave new world of misinformation and personal abuse thats sweeping the web.
Just tinkering with the rules and admin isnt enough.. arranging the deckchairs on the Titanic.. its a watershed.. and needs a paradigm rethink.

In a sector where so much depends on news, I can't see FF getting rid of the news feed. I do agree though that news (everywhere) needs to somehow be filtered properly. Way too many fake news stories just looking to get clicks and views.

I think there is a market right now for old-fashinoned journalism. That is to say journalism with integrity. That way people are actually informed with facts and not fiction. Of course Trump supporters won't budge and will say it is a stretch to say this but... Trump would not have been elected if not for fake news all over social media.

Im not suggesting that FF should ditch the News feature.. Just that the "News Team" should rethink their republishing policies..
And the way in which they frame and manage the comment section of the service.

In the last 48 hours theres been some especially strange decisions.
When was there journalism with integrity? When we only had three talking bobble heads saying the same thing? Back when Walter Cronkite, the most trusted man in America, lied to us about the Tet offensive? How about way back when Walter was getting his feet wet reporting from London during WW2. That was when interviews were on tape and sent by sea. That is also when he recorded fake interviews. No returning airman available? Just grab a cook and role play.

Journalism has never been any too pure. It has been more controlled though which works well for the elite. I'll take truth even if it comes with rancor.
Okay. Why are so many people's comments suddenly being treated as breaching the code of conduct?

All seems rather arbitrary as a policy, because by that standard, every comment on this thread should be hidden.
Obama is helping Trump the chump save face and Putin is playing along.
