just an other round of number manipulation. No surprise there. Any excuse they need to say the world in USA is great and to make everyone feel warm and cozy. Now they have all the reason to raise the rates (probably a good idea anyway), and then we will all get the REAL employment results later. So easy to manipulate numbers when they just go ahead and 'adjust' the next time around. a reminder to not trade the news or what you think the news may be or how it will be affecting a currency. Just trade the reaction a while later when things settle and uncommmon sense rules again.

not really...it was less then expected (174K) and less than their revision(191K), and only marginally better than their 156K originally reported last month....that sounds not good to me. BUT hey, they can focus on their new number of 191K and live as though all is well and as long as the public believes them it is all good. To me, it matters not at all. I do not trade based on the news they put out there and I do not have to have a job.

The main focus nowadays is on Average Hourly Earnings more than the NFP number.

if that makes people feel warm and fuzzy, then that is good. I am fascinated with how news is interpreted by people, including me, in the light in which they wish to see the results. Personally i have many friends in USA and NONE have seen increases in their hourly wages for a long time, and several just gave up looking for jobs that no longer exist.

Agree, all recent important numbers were lower than expectations but the previous numbers were all revised up. Maybe they will also be revised up next time.
