  • The Fed Is About to Make a Mistake

    From bloomberg.com

Next week, officials at the U.S. Federal Reserve will hold a crucial meeting on whether to raise interest rates. Whatever they do, it will probably be a mistake. More than seven years after the recovery began in mid-2009, inflation remains below the central bank's 2-percent target, indicating that the economy is still operating below potential. As of July, consumer prices were up just 0.8 percent from a year earlier. Excluding volatile food and energy goods and services, they were up 1.6 percent. Worse, markets appear to be losing confidence that the Fed will ever reach its target: Yields on Treasury bonds suggest ... (full story)

If they leave the rate alone or raise it.. is the wrong move accoding to this article.. They say that the fed should be lowering the rate... I'm not sure they are wrong. Either way, I'll just trade what the chart tells me. Not what Bloomberg prints.

A private company running the country and having no responsibility if something goes wrong, is the mistake itself.

Yes but he has predicted what they will do nothing they don't want dollar confidence to be broken and they don't want the equity markets to collapse just yet (that will be a special treat for Trump if he takes power and it is possible if independents get enough votes)although I see US not too worried about the German equity market Deutcebank which is teetering on the cliff and VW as well as EU looking to punish people of the UK for their dissidence . Fed will go sorry to much uncertainty in the market can't raise rates just at the moment but US economy is just fine this of course is BULLSHIT US economy is only fine for the few and Fed will carry on handing out free money to the white shoe boys to invest in themselves and for mergers and acquisitions while the people survive on low wages cut down hours and food stamps. Well done Obama you have managed to do worse then Bush something that when you came to office I did not think was possible.
So yes whatever they do is wrong but that is because ever since they came in to existence thanks to Woodrow repaying his debt the fed have done what ever it takes to benefit the very few

I have the market rallying from today in a nasty corrective rally for about 8 day not including the weekend so roughly expecting a top around the 28th Sept.
