This Week’s Market Sell-Off May Not Be Such a Bad Thing
It has been a frantic week on Wall Street and in other financial centers, with stocks and other risky assets experiencing their worst week of the year — and in some cases several years. The United States stock market was on track early Friday for its worst week since 2012, and the Hong Kong stock market for its worst since 2011. The British stock market has fallen for eight straight days, the third-longest run on record.
