    Staff economists at the Federal Reserve expect a quarter-point U.S. interest rate increase this year, according to forecasts the Fed mistakenly published on its website in a gaffe that drew criticism about its ability to keep secrets. The rate forecast was included with a series of bearish projections on U.S. economic growth and inflation that were presented to policymakers at their June 16-17 meeting. The disclosure of the sensitive information is the latest blow to the Fed's reputation for secrecy around policy deliberations. Manipulation, manipulation and again FED manipulation that never ends. WTF is this - One month ago they post a document for slowing down economy, now they said - THAT WAS NOT THE CORRECT DOCUMENT!!! They will change their mind 100 times until September.

Food for thought. Just think for a sec why they might be doing this. We all know it's all on purpose, but WHY are they doing this?

Here's a thought. They need to create such a huge buffer and give it (dollar) room for when everything starts crashing down, and that crash might be a lot sooner than one might think.

Just ponder.

Take two 'MANTRA' OR a thumb rule in this trading stuff,

1. No positions open in the weekends

2. Folllow the chart, chart always speaks truth. unless thosse huge moves, still those crazy moves finally follow the chart. Like it OR not.. that's fact

Frankly, I don't anything will happen and by next Friday it will be very old news. If you day trade this is the type of rubbish you have to put up with. if you are long term you don't blink an eye.
This "one hike" is already priced in. Any gap in favor of the USD will be minimal at best. Calm down everyone. Only the retail traders, (read: liquidity) will be jumping on this news.

Gold went up like crazy because of QE which would guarantee hyper inflation. Nothing happened. The FED nailed it.

This is a depression, no inflation, no demand while rates go up. Worst possible conditions for gold. Yellow bricks, nothing more.

Yeah, but it makes for a good buying opportunity. Wish I had bought gold in the '90s at $300 an ounce when everybody laughed at me.

We've seen this scenario before, and not too long ago. People and institutions owe money, and they back out of their positions. Whether to pay it back or to play it safe, eveyrthing goes down, USD goes up.

Then the storm passes and everything goes back up again.
Gold and paper gold are two different things, deliberately separated. You can buy gold in shops!
paper gold in the finance markets! try collecting your market gold like Austria, Germany and a few others are trying to, welcome to debit/credit (bankers version ).

Answer: Because we are not sure if our gold still exist! Remember, most of the World's Gold was deposited under the basement of the WTC. Until today nobody has accounted for them.

Germany wanted to see their gold deposit in both London and the US. The one in London was still partly there but the US deposit was missing. And the US govt. promised to call them back later. Oh! and BTW, the delegation was by the German Parliamentarians.
Will anyone who holds someone else's gold have to give it back in ton's or value at market rate in ton's?
