  • Core Consumer Prices in U.S. Increased Less Than Forecast in May

    The cost of living in the U.S. excluding food and fuel rose less than forecast in May, a sign inflation may take time to meet the Federal Reserve’s goal. The so-called core measure increased 0.1 percent, the smallest gain this year, after climbing 0.3 percent in April, Labor Department figures showed Thursday in Washington. The median forecast of 82 economists surveyed by Bloomberg called for a 0.2 percent rise. The overall consumer-price index advanced 0.4 percent, as fuel costs rebounded. Is one year that we listen the same words, many economist also many fed members have say that a late rise rate, would mean a abrupt rise, the fed we well know don't care about inflation or job creation, they worries that a rise rate wolud crap stock value and treasury that hold banks "their dear friend" so admit you're right the fed would rise rate and the dollar spark bull, how many time you belive economy in us would remain strong? If you follow some data, more economy data have started to derail in the time that the us dollar start to appreciate. Everyone know that a strong currency is not too god for the economy. Also europe know that!

so what then what about Aussie? you mean that Aussie is an exception to this and can go higher as if there is no more trading? even the Aussie doesn't like a strong currency.

Sorry but i can't give a opinion on Aussie i don't trade aussie and not follow the history of this quote. I refer when answer only at reaction in the pair EUR/USD. If you refer to other pair idon't know. Only one word look the spark start in the night session in the pair betwen US dollar and new zeland the same thing. The RBNZ may cut next time another 0.25 basis point and the RBA maybe the same. We are all, in full currency war all Central Banks, i can't belive that the fed want retreat from this game and give ground to others. But september 2016 is possibile rate rise (i'm joking) when the ECB end the QE. You know status Qui pro Quo betwen central banks and nothing change.

It is not matter of the FED giving into the game. It is finding ways to prevent being too early or too late. Alan Greenspan is a prime example from the tech boom to bust.

For some reason this week kews go opposite graph.
Core cpi was not that good, lookint at last month and prediction it was not that good at all...
First 5+ minutes everything goes as expected and after this change in direction and opposite we go...

To me it seems like market manipulation...
Plus Greece is big factor with euro and its strenght

Any other ideas?

This week overall good means bad and bad means good and worst news???
