    Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis said on Saturday he believed Athens would reach an agreement with its EU lenders about the way out of its international bailout, "even at the last minute". Asked in an interview with the Greek daily Kathimerini what would happen if no agreement was reached at Monday's Eurogroup meeting, and whether euro zone finance ministers would meet again in the coming days, Varoufakis said: "Our strong stance, based on logic, will lead to an agreement, even at the 11th hour." I expect Greece to exit, possibly together with Cyprus. If that happens, expect a EUR panic sell-off bringing EURUSD rate down to around 0.84 (2000-2001 lows).

I think if Greece exits ez, eurusd is likely to go up before resuming downtrend. I have serious doubt if eur will go below 1.00.

Just don't forget two things:

1- Everyone had a bet on a Euro zone faliure or breaking, has lost miserably for the last 30 years.. with big names such as Paulson & Greenspan !

2- Everyone took the opposite trade of ECB, has also failed - especially against Mario Draghi ..

He knows that the EU will avoid, at any cost, the implosion of this financial experiment and will ultimately give in to Greece's demands. They know that if Greece gets kicked/pulled/forced out, it will be the end since it questions the validity of the euro. Therefore, everything else at this point is just political posturing, especially with Germany and its backers, but they have been caught with their pants down by the new Greek government.
