  • Chinese Producer Prices Tumble For 34th Month In A Row, Worst 'Deflation' Since Oct 2009

    From zerohedge.com

For the 34th month in a row, Chinese Producer Prices (PPI) fell YoY (dropping 4.3%, missing expectations of a 3.8% deflation). This is the biggest YoY drop in prices since October 2009 led by a 9.9% plunge in fuel costs. Chinese Consumer Prices are also showing continued deceleration with a 0.8% rise YoY (missing expectations of a 1.0% rise YoY) - the weakest CPI low-flation since November 2009. Great news for the average Chinese person is that food prices rose at the slowest pace in years (and even better the cost of alcohol & tobacco fell YoY again). Producer Price 'Deflation' continues for the 34th month... As ... (full story)

lol...nice rally on bad China news. As I said last week, there was a major shift in the Aussie after the interest rate cuts and that 200pip rally! Price can't even stay below .7750, let alone hey back below .7700.

it might be bad data for china but it is good data for Aussie as it means the china can keep cutting rates which is positive for Aussie

Wait until Wed. night and Aussie's employment news...that will probably be the only chance for A/U to sell off. If it can't then, then we are heading to .8000 initially.

???

No surprises here....Aussie couldn't stay below .7750 last week. It couldn't stay below .7750 on Sundays gap down. Market makers have a lot of traders trapped short below .7700 and they aren't going to let them out of their trades.

Whatever the number of Aus and China data, RBA has already taken an action. I don't think RBA will again cut rate in short time period due to bad numbers. So, I guess AU up .80-.81.

There is less chance AU will go down below .7750, except for USD strength.

EXACTLY! Next estimate of a rate cut is August...months away!!! No reason for more selling. Good U.S. news, bad China and Australia yet price doesn't sell off...that right there should tell you selling is over!

More than happy to help....that's why I post my opinions on here. Never charged and don't plan on it. Whether you are a scalper, day trader, or position trader...feel free to use my info as you wish. Personally I am a day trader looking for 30-50pips profit on trades with a 25-30pip stop loss unless I close earlier for a smaller loss. In general I try to just give the direction you should trade in with an approximate support/resistance area to enter(I'm not perfect to the pip). My message is to just try and give traders, especially new ones, the highest probability of a winning trade. But I will never claim to be perfect, I have my losses too.

What you do with the info, lot size, risk, stoploss , targets...it's all up to each individual trader to decide what's best for them.

Happy Trading!
