    A bill to approve construction of the Keystone XL pipeline failed a vote in the Senate on Tuesday, dooming prospects for such legislation this year. A total of 59 senators voted for the measure, and 41 voted against it. Under the terms of an agreement struck by senators to vote on the bill, 60 "yes" votes were required for the measure to pass. Sen. Mary Landrieu, a Louisiana Democrat, had pushed for the vote to boost her chances in her Dec. 6 runoff election with Rep. Bill Cassidy

I was for Keystone last year but I'm not so sure about it now. Why give the Canadians market share?. Particularly when America is on the verge of a new oil rush in Bakersfield California on par w/ the Bakken? Nothing against Canada but we don't need anyone else's oil; we have enuf of our own, thank you.

We have to "spread the wealth"
I am glad it failed to pass. Of course, these damn republican minions of the super-rich will likely bring it up again and again and again, until they get it passed. The big oil companies want it.

These companies will be able to cut out a lot of truck drivers and others involved in transporting oil, put thousands more out of work along with them, and with the revenues from the pipe lines they can increase CEO pay by more millions and increase the cost of gasoline at the pump.

It is just about the rich getting richer, and making everyone else poorer and poorer. And they don't give a damn about polluting the watershed of the central states. They don't live there!

I am sure if the pipe lines were government owned, and so to the revenues collected from Canada for using the pipe line, there would be less of a fever on the part of the super-rich and their republican minions for it. That is the way it should be. Maybe when the next elections come around, and more people have awoken over these next two years to the carnival that the republican party is, and the total disaster their congressional representatives are, we can have a landslide democratic victory,......and nationalize the pipe lines.

Democracies, free countries, and capitalism is for the greedy, and as you said the "super rich". That can be stopped just by voting for Democrats who would take from those rich, and keep it for themselves. If there is anything we hate more than the super rich, it's Democrats who don't take enough money away from them.

From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs. Democrats are like today's Robin Hoods, except they seem to care more about the Robin, and less about the Hoods.

Just like the poor, we will always have the "tradersathome" with us, feeding at the trough and biting the hand that feeds them. Reasoning abilities are not always fully develop, and sometimes they fail to get their finger sufficiently up their noses to do a manual paradigm mind shift. It is SOOO much easier to just blame "those dang Republicans" and to retain the slogans and cliches of the "democrats".(aka communists, aka failed miserably economic policies).

Yeah, some come to Forex to gain wealth, yet complain that the wealthy are the problem with the world. I just don't understand it. So, I guess they trade during the day, then add up their pips at night. Once calculated, they volunteer to give 95% to the government, just because they feel it's their civic duty, right? I mean who wants to be accused of keeping too much. After all, the government knows better how to spend the people's money, as opposed to the people who earn it.

Democrats have a new song for their campaign trail. "Anything you can tax, I can tax better".

I say, "Good luck with that".

Oh, BTW, if you haven't caught the liberal's massive "war on poverty" efforts, and how well it's been working through all these years of spending, please, by all means, check out the progress on display in Ferguson, Missouri. It's like "Left Heaven". It was even put on display before the UN in Switzerland recently for all the world to see. That is, once the "citizen ambassador", Obama permitted to attend, finished her first court hearing for felony strong armed robbery. SMH. I can't make this stuff up. It just writes itself, and they wonder why we don't want to give the government more. Geniuses, the whole lot of them.
