  • Scotland Rejects Independence as U.K. Wins Reprieve

    From bloomberg.com

Scotland voted to remain in the U.K. after an independence referendum that put the future of the 307-year-old union on a knife edge and risked years of political and financial turmoil. After counting through the night, 55 percent of Scottish voters supported the “no” campaign compared with 45 percent who backed independence. The pound surged ahead of the result, which gave the Better Together campaign a wider margin of victory than suggested in opinion polls. The result was based on 29 of the 32 local authorities declared after a record turnout of more than 90 percent in some regions. “I am deeply disappointed ... (full story)

Just doesn't make sense to me. I understand that those who have been long for a while now are taking profit. But I don't see how the GBP bulls who were staying on the sideline till the result was certain haven't made more impact.

Ok let's move on the next fake crisis. This was never a crisis. It was always going to be a no . Thank you big banks for using the media to scare investors .what's next?

Spain leaving euro?
US losing reserve currency?

These banks have their own targets. They will put out anything to make sure markets melt up to their targets .

O,k
Then watch the Catalonian vote in November to exit from Spain, that will be way more interesting as a high impact on the Euro, bigger numbers and 21 million people's independence' at stake, I think about 20% of Spain's GDP , Scotland was way smaller than that.

Well done Weak Dollar! You've been emphatically saying the No vote would definitely win for the last few weeks.

There was one thread where you wrote No at least 100 times. I was worried about your health and even offered you a cup of tea!

I thought it would be a No vote but was nowhere as emphatic as you.

Why not try for a job as a soothsayer in Yemen. They may hail you as the next prophet since you're so good at predicting the future.

Send us an e mail when you get there....
