maybe try a YES bet with the bookies at 7-2, coupled with long cable trade now. just make sure you get your leverage and hedging ratio correct.

Looking at the expected timing table, looks like the Referendum results would be very much the same as the 1995 Québec Referendum, with probably "No" but with paper-thin margin, seeing the "Yes" rating of the largest city of Scotland, Glasgow is only a "5".

The Referendum is always like this, with the richest city as just an average 'Yes" sentiment but with the more peripheral areas being strong "Yes" supporters, just like in the 1995 Québec Referendum, the largest city, Montreal was over 60% "No" voting.

But it's smart of the Scottish to not focus on ethnicity as the basis for independance. I thought the PQ in Québec would've picked this up long time ago given that it's multi-ethnicity everywhere now and given the changing faces of Quebecers (the name "Nguyen" is the third most popular name in Québec. Need I say more?) If the Separatists in Québec REALLY wants Québec to separate, their Sovereinty campaign needs a major overhaul to make it more relevant and applicable to the Québec people today.

We can at least scalp during emotional drama likely to be created.
Leaders don't do different things, but they do the same things differently.
I would be seriously surprised if Scotland votes to stay in the UK.

Just as surprised as when Netherlands and France voted NO on the EUR (twice) and they still went ahead with implementation.

Exactly as what I predicted. Another Quebec. So sad. Oh well hope they get to keep the 90% of the North Sea oil rigs and not lose them all to British like how Quebec lost all of the profitable resource mines to Canada after the failed 1995 Referendum where the "No" side only won by 0.8%.

Really? I thought the voter turnout is >95%. I guess many of them got assassinated by 007 while on their way to the poll station. LOL

Seriously, the way these ballots were handled this would hardly qualify as a real result. It would be so very easy to make a vote from home system that uses the internet.

Every citizen gets a login and can vote only once.

Instant results. Honest results.

What a crock this referendum was, like the Euro referenda back in 2000. William Wallace is turning in his grave...
