stock markets are quite wicked now, huh? even after the dovey Fed statement yesterday. long EURUSD seems to be working quite well, about the best trade around actually. so US stocks and USD are going down the drain together, which is unusual. hey, bring back Helicopter Ben please, at least he never gave the truth away.

Well banks had to do something with all the (interest) free loans. If you print money and you have no intention of that money going to an impoverished citizenry, you give it to banks for leverage to skim share markets. It isn't a bubble, it's a weapon of mass destruction. Now that banks have run the market up, they have to book a profit. Look out below.
I am one of the few traders that was calling a top, I found it hard to get the day right and the S&P can move when it wants, but this is the end of the bull run. Couple of people tell me on the forum that QE can hold the market up forever, it can't because QE does not buy the stocks, people do. When people flip from positive to negative markets collapse.

I would bet, good money, on the NAS going up from 09:00 to about 3,556. well I say that but, I think I will actually wait for it to get up there and sell it like every other man and his dog.

If you recall, MANY of the punters on here months ago were saying the Fed will never taper but what they would do instead was INCREASE QE as we go forward (I along with a few others mentioned how ludicrous that would be and wouldn't happen but that is besides the point)

What is worth mentioning and the point being is this:

Noobs should develop a plan, an idea of how markets are going to shape up according to them and stick to it, simple systems work best, swing trade and risk manage ... don't listen to anyone but yourself...

I accept Elliot wave in principle, however, I don't think 'the fear' exists and the politico banking elite in the USA will ensure that banks and hedge funds, who hold huge positions in the DJIA and SPX, do not unwind and enter other securities or assets. I can see a minor correction but not a crash. This time it really is v.different. And let's not forget that the NASDAQ is chokka full of heavily invested retail punters chasing the dream therefore it's bound to be more skittish and reactionary.

Only difference this time, is that if the markets do not respond favourably to QE winding down/rate increase, the Fed has guidance from it's printing policy to simply resume it.
A crash now when a recovery has not even taken place from the recession would be catastrophic, I doubt the Fed will let that happen now everyone knows they have tools to prevent it, (even if only temporarily).

Even if the djia falls back to 13000 it's only circa 18 months 'profit' wiped out and that would be some collapse but nothing to get too excited about, unless you ride the short all the way down..

I can see that kind of 25% major correction and then a recovery to take out all time highs, let's be honest these valuations to take the 3 main indices up in the USA have been fucking potty for several years now so the froth being blown off is no bad thing.

Outliers? There's only one IMHO, China somehow implodes taking us all down with it in some weird domino effect.

Then load them up. Don't trade it myself as I don't have enough money, but I see Cable heading back down to 1.6060 area from here, so a 750 pip drop won't go unnoticed.

I think that although there are signs the top is close, the market has yet to show us. Often at tops there are a second move that appears very bullish, it can often be a double top, even a higher top.

The stock indexes often make the first move down as a strong 1500 to 2000 pip move, often to the 200 MA on the daily. This is the first clue that something is amiss.

This second top should be in by June at the latest around the 17th. I have so many cycles hitting in May it is almost funny, the 20th to 23rd May aligns with the 90 year cycle, the 1 year cycle, the 30 year cycle. I expect May to offer a dramatic sell off, between the 20th to 23rd with lots of clustering on the 22nd May. I also expect a rally on Monday 14th April 2014, possibly even making a new top, I am still open to the idea that the final top is not in yet, 1900 and 2000 look so tempting on the S&P. It is when everyone is bullish the trouble starts, too many people are trying to pick the top and getting just stopped out.

We have yet to see the market play out to the downside, all that has happened so far is a couple of dramatic down days. I might predict turns but let the market show you that it agrees. The fall I am looking for is going to last about 2 years, ending in 2016īto 2017.
