Alstolbov. The dollar is still broadly seen as a (the?) safe haven. Especially since the United States are doing relatively well compared to other "strong" currencies.

I guess the Yen and CHF could also go up like it did the first time Kerry talked about a military response. I can't really explain these ones though, with the abenomics for the Yen and floor for the CHF i don't really see why they can still be viewed as a safe / interesting bet in time of war/crisis.

USA oil and gas consumption by the USA military is equivalent annually to that of many European countries, I've seen estimates that should the military industrial complex be removed USA GDP would collapse by 6/7%. Unemployment would spike by 10%. The USA economy trickles down and the cogs start their motion via the MIC. War, a perpetual state the USA has created, is fast becoming THE USA economy.
