BOE Dale: Economy Faces Flattish Growth; MPC Made To Disagree
Bank of England Chief Economist Spencer Dale says the UK economy faces a period of "flattish growth" and, despite this, the BOE Monetary Policy Committee's central view is that inflation will stay sticky and above target for the next year or so. In comments in the Yorkshire Post newspaper, Dale paints a picture of near non-existent growth, with parts of the export sector outperforming and inflation sticking stubbornly above target.
