    Hurricane Sandy will probably grow into a “Frankenstorm” that may become the worst to hit the U.S. Northeast in 100 years if current forecasts are correct. Sandy may combine with a second storm coming out of the Midwest to create a system that would rival the New England hurricane of 1938 in intensity, said Paul Kocin, a National Weather Service meteorologist in College Park, Maryland. The weather is much the same in it's pattern of movement as is price. When you try to measure air currents under heating from the sun - you will find that it submits to chaotic or unstable dynamic movement or simply non linear movement. But luckily for us we can study price more readily given mean reversion tendencies and the two mathematical properties of fractals price exhibits. First is self-similarity across time frames and second is non integral dimension. Combine these (and forget your deterministic cause and effect illusions about how price moves) then you will become the trader you always wanted to be.

Ask yourself - if they can tell a storm is coming - how can't you tell that price is rising or falling if both are similar in structure, i.e. the weather and price?

Years ago i was told, if it is going up buy, if it is going down sell, watch out for the turns.
