It's always the case where the so called world police stick its hairy leg into other countries issues n messed up the place even more. Of course US will be involved as there are raw materials for them IF they win. It's a shame to see a 30 year of economy flourish that China achieved may be destroyed by a possible war (hopefully not). N japan thinks they r saved only to find out that US will rule the island instead. IMHO without bias, all those countries that US have been to fight were simply left in utter destruction nothing left. Surprised that there is a clause in US japan treaty to protect japan even when territorial was gained illegally. What a pack of rubbish aggressor US is

If this happens it could end up as China vs USA ....the world does not want that. IMHO wars are just bad news.

1.) Not sure if anyone knows or even ever check if Japan has any nuke heads nor has anyone check their military strength thus far. Yes I know they are not allow to have army but just have a look at their defends size and budget n it will be enough to nuke Taiwan island off with their current strength

2.) If one read thru the treaty clause 5 between US and japan, the treaty says it will protect japan if its attack but there is nothing to support islands gotten by illegal means. Those islands have always been China's (not that I support China's administration) but Japan underhand method of acquiring the islands is beyond comprehension, though not surprising (and I have no wish to bring back history again, least I pissed off any japanese traders here - though they r still not waking up to reality). Anyway........

Possibly one should check how the Island of Formosa came to be and what it represents.
Also the long historical record of Japans involvement with the disputed Islands and the proximity to Formosa.
But then again why cloud the issues with History?
