Prime Minister David Cameron believes the Greek elections amount to a referendum on Greece's membership of the euro, sources close to him say. He told the Nato summit in Chicago voters in Greece had to get a "clear message" that their vote on 17 June reflected their opinion on the euro. He also denied the G8 summit was a failure after it did not deliver a plan to resolve Greece's debt problems. It comes amid concerns that the crisis is being allowed to drift.
