  • How low will the euro go?

    From cnn.com

Investors have been unnerved for more than a year now about the future of the embattled euro zone. Bond yields for the zone's troubled peripheral countries soared, as investors lost faith that Greece and others would be able to pay back its huge debts. And as Europe's ongoing crisis seeped into bigger countries like Italy, yields skyrocketed, leaving the troubled nations to scramble for bailouts. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Germany's bond yields have now fallen below zero, meaning investors are not only willing to forgo returns on their money, but they will pay in order to keep it safe. Surprisingly, ... (full story)

No one can answer this question with certainty. So instead of debating how low will it go, better focus on your current trades...

Absolutely right.

Yesterday, Deutsche Bank, the world's largest FX bank, called for the euro to fall as low as $1.20 against the dollar and Y90 against the yen by the end of June.

Tomorrow UBS will say another thing.

a slow motion process in EZ is good for Germany economy which is probably why they don't seem too responsive sometimes. They don't have any interest in losing the euro though, thus they will do anything to avoid breakup.

For EUR/USD...Merkel the deity of EUR has to be on the news everyday..if applicable Nicolas Sarkozy the French president moves his office to Berlin for a daily meeting..the two have the power over Mr. Market, any news about their meeting sends Mr. market on steroid frenzy for EUR/USD...I promise myself...not to miss the rally on their meeting again...at least 100 pips per meeting not bad for donation to Salvation Army....50% of my win from their meeting will go to Salvation Army..
There is always a price for promises you don't keep!

For 1.30, price would have to break through the falling channel resistance.
I would focus more on 1.2920 area as a max. This is in confluence with a 61.8% retrace of the move down from 1.3076 plus the falling channel resistance.
However, first we have to see a successful break above 1.28 and 1.2865
So far the test of 1.28 has failed
