Swiss Consumer Price Index in January 2025
The consumer price index (CPI) fell by 0.1% in January 2025 compared with the previous month to 106.8 points (December 2020 = 100). Inflation was +0.4% compared with the same month of the previous year. These are the results of the Federal Statistical Office (FSO). The 0.1% decrease compared with the previous month is due to several factors including lower prices for electricity and supplementary accommodation. Prices also decreased for air transport, as did those for clothing and footwear, the latter due to seasonal sales.
