nonsensical; question here.
When one analyses things in a vacuum, then errors are made and/or erroneous assumptions arise.

Energy very likely will have a greater effect on inflation, where it touches every corner of the economy, if domestic oil production increases than the inflation which exists due to the asinine energy policy of the prior administration, should subside and be greater in effect than the effect tariffs will have.

Dive deeper and understand that many countries have tariffs on US goods already in place.

A move towards greater domestic production all around ( energy, manufacturing, semiconductors, etc) will indeed have a greater effect on inflation and an overall increase in the economy.

In my opinion.

By now most should be getting used to the Trump mo, as it's been the same for about 30 years or more. What he has to work with is the USA's big market and the premise that anybody should be paying for the privilege of accessing it. This is no different than the Chinese really. Nobody really takes seriously the threat of the flat 25% tariff on everything imported from Canada & Mexico, but that's his gambit. He gave us a Feb01 date to target, perhaps there will be a glorious announcement of neverbeforeseen trade deals by then?

Yeah, tastytrade, tastyworks, etc...they coulda done better. But usually when you name something (a kid, a business, etc) you're pretty much stuck with it.

Things are just in the beginning. I think Trump will impose tariffs against Latam too. One thing is for sure, this year will cut like a blade, trade safe guys! You know how each tweet Trump does make price and crazy movements in the market, so we should protect our capital and take every possible profit.
