US Gross Domestic Product, Third Quarter 2024 (Second Estimate) and Corporate Profits (Preliminary)
Real gross domestic product (GDP) increased at an annual rate of 2.8 percent in the third quarter of 2024 (table 1), according to the "second" estimate released by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. In the second quarter, real GDP increased 3.0 percent. The GDP estimate released today is based on more complete source data than were available for the "advance" estimate issued last month. In the advance estimate, the increase in real GDP was also 2.8 percent. US economy expands by 2.8% in Q3
The United States' gross domestic product (GDP) saw an annual rise of 2.8% in the third quarter, the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) said in its second estimate released on Wednesday. The figure matched market expectations and the one given in the first report. Current-dollar personal income in the third trimester grew by $175.9 billion year-on-year, a downward revision of $45.3 billion compared to the initial estimate. Disposable personal income increased by 2.3% or $122.9 billion in contrast with the same quarter the year before, a downward revision of $43.1 billion from the previous estimate. The personal ...
