US consumer confidence rises in November
The Consumer Sentiment Index in the United States rose in November compared to the previous month to land at 73.0, according to a preliminary report published by the University of Michigan on Friday. The figure grew 19.1% compared to the same period of last year. The Current Economic Conditions Index saw a decline of 0.9% compared to the month prior, slumping 5.7% on an annual level, to stand at 64.4. Meanwhile, the Index of Consumer Expectations was up 5.9% on a monthly basis while jumping 38.2% compared to the same period of 2023, to come at 78.5.
