Flash estimate of the Spanish Consumer Price Index (CPI) September 2024

The estimated annual inflation of the CPI in September 2024 is 1.5%, according to the flash indicator prepared by the NSI. This indicator provides a preview of the CPI which, if confirmed, would mean a decrease of eight tenths in its annual rate, since in August this variation was 2.3%. This evolution is mainly due to the fall in fuel prices, and also, although to a lesser extent, to the decrease in food and electricity prices, compared with the rise in September 2023.
