US election consequential for APAC outlook
In the US, Democratic nominee Kamala Harris and the Republican rival Donald Trump clashed on the debate stage in Philadelphia last week, with sharp exchanges over the economy, immigration, fracking, abortion, and foreign policy. Neither candidate was particularly substantive on policy, with both sidestepping the moderator's questions to focus on their opponent's perceived weaknesses.
