EIA: US Crude oil inventories down by 3.7M barrels
Commercial crude oil inventories in the United States, not considering those in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR), in the week ending on August 2 were down 3.7 million barrels, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) stated in its report published on Wednesday. At the same time, crude refinery inputs stood at an average of 16.4 million barrels per day (bpd) during the same week, representing a 252,000 bpd increase compared to last week's average.
