US industrial production up by 0.6% in June
Industrial production in the United States observed a monthly rise of 0.6% in June, the Federal Reserve's Board of Governors said in its report issued on Wednesday. Manufacturing output gained 0.4% on a monthly level in June and 3.4% on an annual one in the second quarter. Mining increased by 0.3% compared to the previous month but declined by 0.6% year-on-year. Utilities grew by 2.8% when compared to May and 7.9% to June 2023. Capacity utilization advanced slightly to 78.8%, which is 0.9 percentage points below its long-run average. On an annual basis, it expanded by 1.4%.
