German exports in May 2024: -3.6% compared to April 2024
In May 2024, German exports fell by 3.6% and imports by 6.6% compared to April 2024, adjusted for calendar and seasonal factors. As the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) further reports based on preliminary results, exports fell by 1.6% compared to May 2023, while imports fell by 8.7%.In total, in May 2024, calendar and seasonally adjusted goods worth 131.6 billion euros were exported from Germany and goods worth 106.7 billion euros were imported into Germany.
